It's amazing what people will believe if it's the television you learn it from. Gotta be my All-time favorite rage song of all time. Perfect balance between the two end's of Zack's vocal spectrum: Rap-----Out of control Rage. Tom also does some of the most creative guitar riffs in this song. Try listening to the song while canceling out Zack's vocals. It's something to behold. |

Carrera is right. His dad had a breakdown and went crazy and spent days pent up in his house destroying his artwork. If Zach was with him (his parents were divorced) then his dad made him participate in the religious fasting and the destruction of his artwork. As for the part about Jesus, Jesus is representative of religion in general. When he says Jesus raped the spirit, hes talking about how it destroyed his father mentally. It tore him apart. The whole song is about he remembers what happened to his dad and is swearing not to end up like him: A half-sane religious fanatic. |

It has to do with teaching/classrooms and the government's control over them. He mentions school curriculums and classrooms, and then talks about gripping the cannon(gun) like Fanon(Revolutionary thinker on equality and colinization) and then passing the shells(bullets) to the classmates. Zack is talking about how the classroom is an extention of the goverment and is an attempt to take you under their control while falsly promising you a better life under their leadership(like the European colonies in Africa)while only using you for profit. And how he understood this and is "passing the shells to my classmates" or giving the information on this to his classmates so that they won't take the bait. Metaphorically, it could also represent what he was doing with rage. Bringing understanding to the ignorant.
At least that's my take on it. Correct me if you think I'm wrong. |

Actually, I think "Shuclack" is supposed to be the sound of a shotgun as a round is being fed into the chamber. Like before being fired or after a shot and second is being loaded. |
