| Black Sabbath – A National Acrobat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree with kratosaurion, you are all idiots if you think its about sperm. Its about reincarnation, and the title probably has nothing to do with the song. | |
| Tool – Stinkfist Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Okay this song is defindately NOT about anal fisting, it has nothing to do with sex, Tool knows people are perverts and would percieve this. This song is on the album Aenima, which is a mix between the words Anima & Enema. An Anima is your soul (see Carl Jung teachings). An Enema is anal abortion, cleaning all the shit from your ass. When these words are mixed they make Aenima, which is soul cleansing. Stinfist is the action of doing so, clearing out your soul, digging into yourself (I'll keep digging till I feel something"), and cleaning out all the shit. Hence the name, Stinkfist. The begining talks about someone wanting to change, wanting to come clean. "Something has to change, undenyable dilemma, boredom's not a burden anyone should bare" So that person starts digging into themself, "finger deep within the border line" But thats not enough to clean it entirely, its "not enough I need more, nothing seems to satisfy.." so as the song goes on, the person digs deeper, "knuckle deep...", elbow deep...", ect. After this comes the person questioning why its so hard to come clean & why they would even want to, because it doesnt seem to be working. "Something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be Desensitized to everything What became of subtlety?" After that, the decision comes to keep digging until its all gone, until the person can feel their true self again. Note that after that part of the song, the "Not enough I need more" part is skipped twice, and replaced with more "digging" until the song ends with "Relax, turn around and take my hand" The song is over, the person is reunited with themself. Having said all that you can guess what the other lines mean, im not typing it all down. Two more things: 1. The "coming clean" could be literally coming clean off drugs, or could be a metaphor for finding inner peace... 2. judging by the perspective, it could be someone else cleaning this persons soul. "Show me that you love me and that we belong together.." I'm just going to leave it at that. |

| Weezer – We Are All on Drugs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I've read some of your comments and...wow Weezer "fans" are really dumb. This whole song is a big joke, it is neither anti or pro drug, its intentionally written like a stupid teenager wrote it while on drugs, simple lyrics, simple guitar riffs, simply shallow, and a simple f*cking message: You're stupid when you're on drugs. Honestly its not that complicated, this isnt Pink Floyd, This isnt Tool, this is Weezer, music to nod your head to. Not every song has to be a deep psychological masterpiece... |
| Deftones – Knife Party Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"My knife is sharp and chrome, come see inside my bones..." - sounds like a needle to me "in here we cant touch the floor.." - so high they cant come down. "..we are all anemic.." - blood condiction from shooting up.. In case you havnt figured it out, a knife party is a shooting gallery, and this song is about drugs. |
| Deftones – Back to School (Mini Maggit) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is about how Korn, Deftones & Limp Bizkit ruled the music industry with nu-metal, and how a bunch of new bands broke out trying to be like them. "So why don't cha run back to school" - He's saying to stop being posers and go and learn how to make good music, "'cause back in school, [deftones] are teh leaders of it all." (they teach the bands how to make music) This song is tied in with the album "Follow the Leader" by KoRn. On the cover of which has school children following a girl playing hopscotch off a cliff with teh words "Follow the LeadeR" underneath. Chino also did a song with Korn on that album, in which the lyrics are aimed at posers. ^^this is how I know its about Korn & Deftones, as they are the leaders of it all... |
| Alice in Chains – Frogs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is about loosing a friend due to drugs, or making a friend due to drugs, ie. frogs... frogs have big dilated eyes, cold skin, graoky voices, kinda like someone under the influence of LSD or Heroin, which we all know Layne was into, not by choice... Its as simple as that, Frogs = Friends. |
| Tool – Vicarious Lyrics | 19 years ago |
egb, I said ADDICTS, not users... Heroin USERS can live healthy lives, ADDICTS will eventually die, and yes thats a fact. Heroin wears down opiod receptors in your brain, causing cells to die, just like alcohol, and unlike marijuana. THAT CAN KILL YOU. Heroin causes painful withdrawl symptoms anywhere from 6 hours to 24 hours after last dose, would you want to wake up every 6 hours to shoot up? SUICIDE is when someone kills themself UNDERSTAND? Heroin slows down your heart and restricts your lungs, the higher the dose, the more these effects take place. I know Ineed oxygen to survive. Heroin costs a shitload of money to keep up the habit, leading to crime (crime=guns, knives,) Needles and spoons cost money...why not just share them? Cuz you get diseases that KILL you. I could go on and on about this, but Ill just conclude that you are a fucking moron. |
| Tool – Lipan Conjuring Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is Tool's version of a shitty acoustic score that all these new bands seem to be doing to try and be deep. Tool is just mocking them, cuz as we all know, music doesnt get any deeper than Tool. It's called Lipan Conjuring because the vocals are so bad they sound like someone chanting a conjuring. Once again the title is a mockery of all those new bands that try to sing to their shitty acoustics and can't even do that right. This whole song is a giant mockery. haha. |
| KoЯn – Cameltosis (feat. Tre Hardson) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is about being attracted to sluts who will hurt you emotionally. The subject of the song has a disease, "Camel-toe-sis". Simple as that, if your not mature enough to understand that then don't listen to korn. Yes, i'm talking to all you people who don't know what cameltoe is. | |
| Tool – Rosetta Stoned Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The Rosetta Stone is a stone found in egypt that decyphers Egyptian heiroglyphics into Greek/Latin... The song is describing a trip on some kind of drug, where he meets aliens who tell him he is the "chosen one to deliver a message", so he tells the local authorities: "You believe me, dont you?, please believe what I just said, seeing them telling children, and this wasnt all in my head." "See they took be right by the hand. And invted me right in Then they showed me something. I don't even know where to begin." ^^ He's talking to the police about how the aliens abducted him. Now, they know hes stoned or just insane, they commit him to an asylum: "Strapped down on my bed. Feet cold and eyes red. I'm out my head. Am I alive? Am I dead? Can't remember what they said. God damn, I shit the bed." Hes strapped down in the asylum, eyes red from lack of sleep, cold, confused, cant remember what the aliens told him, and he "shits the bed" (screws up his meaning in life:to be the chosen one). The title of the song is refering to him (the subject of the song), and how he was the Rosetta Stone to decypher the meaning of life to the world...or atleast thought he was because he was trippin out. Therefor, making him "Rosetta StoneD" This is just a story that Tool made up for fun, showing what paranoid delusional drug addicts think and feel like during a bad trip...such as hallucinations with aliens that end up in [him] being committed to an insane asylum. I highly doubt this is the actual meaning, but its the best I could come up with. |
| Tool – H. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
H. might be any or all of the following: 1. Heroin - The chorus describes an addiction. 2. Hesus - Jesus Christ's middle name. 3. Heritage - Maynard having a bad childhood and fears inheriting bad traits from his parents. 4. Devo "H." Keenan - Maynard's son. 5. Any girl's name starting with the letter "H". (see chorus) 6.Half-Empty/Half-Full - The working title for the song. 7. Hell - The song's lyrics seem to describe alot of physical and emotional pain. Could be any, none, or all of these...you never know with Tool. |
| Tool – Vicarious Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The first comment pretty much covered about what this song is about... "Stare like a junkie into the tv, stare like a zombie..." - Junkies (heroin or opium addicts), will eventually die due to the addiction, but ironically they're still alive while watching "clean" people die instantly on tv. (war casualties, criminals, ect.) Cool concept. Tool is fucking amazing! |
| Alice in Chains – Would? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is about making a mistake and questioning yourself if it "would" have been better if you had chosen a different option, and if someone else "would" have done the same thing. "Into the flood again..." - The flood is a psychological place of depression and regret. (Feeling low, like a flood) "Same old trip it was back then" - Making the same mistake another time. "So I made a big mistake, try and see it once my way" - Asking for forgiveness, and saying that [you] "would" make the same mistake, if given the opportunity. |
| KoЯn – Children of the Korn (feat. Ice Cube) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Actually, in Stephen King's story Children of the Corn, the kids live in a corn feild and a ruled by a strange teenager who convinces them all to kill every adult in town, and yes, once they turn 18 they are sacrificed, but there is no monster. We are the children of Korn, Ice Cube is the cult leader, Jon Davis is on both perspectives as the adults and as one of the children. Its basically saying to overthrow authority just like the Children of the Corn did. |
| Ice Cube – Fuck Dying Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| KoRn did the instruments in this song, and they are also in the video with Ice Cube, & he was on vocals in Korn's song "Children of the Korn". | |
| Trivium – Like Light to the Flies Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"This tragedy is like light to the flies It seems to suit you better Bleeding out the eyes" When flies look at lights, it burns their eyes, yet they continue to do so until they are blind... This is metaphorical for how people will be continually attracted to something that will hurt or disgust them. eg. the public's fascination with death and criminals, although people dont like them, the news constantly feeds the public stories about violence and death, and the public eats it up. Although its something they hate, they keep coming back for more, just like light to the flies. |
| Trivium – Ascendancy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is about "burning" your past away, and starting again as a higher being, hence "Ascending". | |
| Trivium – My Hatred Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is simply about being pissed as hell at the human race. | |
| KoЯn – Deep Inside Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is a really underrated song and one of the only korn songs that doesn't have way tuned down guitars. | |
| Sublime – Smoke Two Joints Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I smoke two joints when I listen to this song and goddamn its good. | |
| Linkin Park – In The End Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Its about constipation. Just look at the lyrics. | |
| Alice in Chains – Angry Chair Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about how when Layne was a kid his dad would put him in a chair infront of a mirror as punishment when layne misbehaved, he called it the angry chair. This is a metaphor for his heroin addiction, where he feels like hes being punished again, by everyday having to look at what he's become: a junkie. the "I dont mind" part is like hes accepting this, and thus recovering from the angry chair. (the whole point of this punishment for children is that they'll realize they did something wrong and learn, accept it and move on) Yes I know not all Alice In Chains songs are about drugs, but this is deffinately one of them. |
| KoЯn – Faget Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is JD's response to when he was in school how everyone would call him "pretty boy" and "faggot" and make fun of him because of the way he dressed and the music he listened to. "Can't get the gun if you don't got the money anyway" - he's refering to when he was a teen he fantasized about taking a gun to school and shooting everyone, but he lacked money to buy weapons. |
| Alice in Chains – Over Now Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is simply about completing your destiny and dying. Hence at the begining of the song where the trumpet plays the first few lines of a Remembrance Day song, "The Last Post", and someone mumbles "Good Night". |
| Alice in Chains – Them Bones Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about Layne feeling like he's going to die alone. Yes, Jerry wrote this, but he wrote it for Layne. **************************** The album cover for "Dirt" is a picture of a girl (Alice) wrapped in chains in a semi-underground grave, refrencing both songs, "Dirt" & "Them Bones" |
| Trivium – A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song refrences an Alice in Chains song: (Sea Of Sorrow) Trivium: "Open fire, on the desire of the man, open fire with strife we'll strike down the hand." - Shooting the abusive father and ending his ways. Alice In Chains: "You opened fire, and your mark was true, you opened fire, aim my smiling skull at you" - The father's response, hes smiling while abusing his family. "Your mark was true" meaning that he knows the one who shot him was aiming to kill. I base this on the fact that the drummer of Trivium has an AIC tattoo on his right arm, so I made this connection... |
| KoЯn – Porno Creep Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"Closer to me...it seems closer" The subject of the song is a "Porno Creep", who spends his time watching pornography and gives off a creepy sort of vibe to other people, he stalks women and by doing this they seem closer to being his. One line can be a whole story. |
| Gorillaz – Feel Good Inc. Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is basically about all the things that make people feel good. The first few lines are about work and labour and how depressing it can be, but when the chorus kicks in (windmill, windmill...), it seems to look on the bright side to dealing with depression and pain of everyday life: LOVE. Then the rap part kicks in and is much darker and seems to be refering to drugs and alcohol to make people feel better. Then the windmill windmill part again, hinting that thats just the cycle of life. (windmills make circles, life goes in circles, get it?) The "INC." in the title (Feel Good Inc.), could be saying that people look more to industrialized "feelings of well-being" such as drugs or money, rather than love. Also, in the music video, 2D seems to be the owner of the company "Feel Good Incorporated", but hes staring envyously out the window at Noodle who is on a floating windmill playing guitar, possible meaning that even with all of the money and success he still envys other people's love. That what I think its about. |
| Alice in Chains – Hate To Feel Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about Layne's unhealthy drug filled relationship with his father. "All this time I swore I'd never be like my old man" - as a teenager, layne rarely saw his dad and swore to himself that he'd never use drugs and become a failure like his father. After Layne became famous, his father who he hadnt seen in 22 years, came back and used him for drugs. Layne was trying to change his life around and come clean but he wanted his father to accept him so he started doing drugs again with his old man. |
| Alice in Chains – Junkhead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This could be the most pro-drug song I've ever heard. Or it could be about one of two things. 1.Pro-drug: A person re-using a drug they abstained from. 2.Anti-drug: A sarcastic example of what users think when they start using harmful drugs. |
| Alice in Chains – God Smack Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Smack is slang for heroin, and what this song is obviously about. "stick your arm for some real fun" - heroin is taken via a needle in your arm. "Now you know the reasons why, cant get high or you will die" - heroin has a huge chance of overdose, addiction, or infections from contaminated needles. "and god's name is smack for some" - some people refer to heroin as their god. Yes, the band Godsmack did get their name from this song, Sully Erna is a huge aic fan and they ripped off aic riffs, they have lyric refrences to aic, and album called "Faceless" (AIC has "Facelift"), the Godmack album font and sun logo also ripped off Aic's "Dirt" album. |
| Rob Zombie – Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Anyone who hasnt read A Clockwork Orange shouldnt be claiming to know what this song is about. The meaning is really obvious. | |
| Iron Maiden – The Trooper Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is about the thoughts of a British soldier aka a "Trooper" in WW1. | |
| KoЯn – Children of the Korn (feat. Ice Cube) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Korn fans are the Children Of The Korn. 'nuff said. |
| Alice in Chains – God Am Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"Sure god's all powerful, but does he have lips?" People put faith in god and pray every day, but god never says anything back. That pretty much explains the whole song. |
| Alice in Chains – Right Turn Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song sounds like its about fucking a fat chick. "Inside always trying to get back inside But it's so hard to penetrate pig-thick skin" - You spend nine months inside when your a baby, and spend the next 50 years trying to get back in. "I'm 'bout as low as I can get I'd leave but I can't forget" - hes regretting fucking the fat chick. "Well it's hard to believe that somebody tricked you when you can see you were only high" - he fucked her cuz he thought she was hot, but that was becuz he was high. I'm sure this song is deeper but if you look at it in a humorous way... |
| Alice in Chains – Sludge Factory Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about someone telling Layne when he's gonna die. likely a friend, enters layne's home & insults him, layne says hes going to change and get out of his drug habbit. The insult was probably about a 20 hour drug binge. hence the line, "20 hours wont print my picture..." The milk carton refrence is about back in the day, when someone would go missing, people would post te missing person's picture on milk cartons. the chorus is about this friend telling layne exactly when hes going to die, he gurgles out a date of death for him. the next line is the friend talking, saying that layne told this friend he wasnt going to live past his 25th birthday. The end is saying that people are trying to make layne guilty so he'll quit the drugs. Thats just a brief explanation, the song has alot more evidence, but I'm too lazy to type it all. |
| Mudhoney – Here Comes Sickness Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song looks like its a prequel to "Touch Me, I'm Sick", which is about a guy spreading STD's, and "Sickness" sounds like its a nickname for the girl who gave gave it to him first. | |
| Mudhoney – Touch Me I'm Sick Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think this is about intentionally spreading STD's, the lyrics are pretty straight forward... | |
| KoЯn – Freak on a Leash Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about everytime hes hurt, it takes a part of him leaving nothing in the end of the song. "Sometimes its my life I can't taste" - Taste is a sense, 1of 5, that was taken from him. "Sometimes I cannot feel my face" - Loosing the sense of feeling. 2 out of 5. "Something lost and never seen" - Loosing sight, 3 out of 5. This one im not too sure about, but "How many times have I felt diseased" could mean when your sick (a cold or flu) you loose your sense of smell. The scats near the end of the song could be indicating loosing hearing. Then, at the end of the song he says "Something takes a part of me" 5 more times (including the one in the chorus), 5/5 senses are lost and he ceases to exist. "Freak on a Leash" could mean that someone (possibly the media) is exploiting his "condition". |
| Marilyn Manson – Dope Hat Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about a drug addiction in the media. "I peek into the hole, I struggle for control" - trying to overcome the addiction "The children love the show, but they fail to see the anguish in my eyes" - "Children" being fans or people supporting the user's habit, but they can't see that the its hurting him. "My bag of tricks will always make you happy, but we all know the hat is wearing me." - The user denies being addicted so the fans will love him, but on the inside everyone knows hes addicted. "My bag is in the hat, its filled with this and that, my vision's getting fat, the rabbit's just a monkey in dsiguise." - Vision getting fat would be describing the drug trip & the rabbit being a monkey in disguise is the user faking a certain image, (refrence to rabbit in hat trick), and that hes tricking everyone into thinking hes something he isnt. (Making them think he isnt addicted) |
| Mudvayne – Dig Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is about Mudvayne's refusal to sell out to a major record company. "I would love to beat the face of any motherfucker who's thinkin' they can change me." The name, "Dig" is refering to being buried, or someone covering you up from what you truly are. (selling out) |
| Nine Inch Nails – Hurt Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This is possibly the saddest song ever written. Trent Reznor did a way better job than Johnny Cash. | |
| P.O.D. – Youth Of The Nation Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is about the Santana High School shooting. Where 15 year old Charles Andrew Williams opened fire from a bathroom, killing 2 and wounding 15. "Susie" & "Johnny boy" are refrences to students that where there, and shows that these people had lives and were real people, not just target practice as many murderers consider others to be. |
