I think this song is about the youthful glee of discovering something new and being so obsessed with it that it invades your every thought. I think Adrien is specifically talking about when his fascination for guitars started. There's a Crimson video from Japan in 1983 where they perform this song, and He picks up his guitar and stairs at it, turns in over in his hands all the while singing the lyrics. His focus is definitely on his guitar. |

I don't think he's got the first verse quite right. Close. It's: And when I have some words This is the way I'll sing Through a distortion box To make them menacing! This song is definitely a commentary on PopMetal. It's still extremely prevelant. Every time I hear a new popmetal song, I can't help but to think of this song and I start to laugh.
