ok first of all a thousand thank yous ive been looking for these lyrics anywhere and everywhere lol... i disagree though i think its more like he HAD his heart brokena nd he never wanted to fall in love again... and he thought that everything about love was wrong, and then this girl just caught him off guard and he fell for her... and hes in love with her so much and shes turned his life around and changed everything for him...
also i was wondering the heroine thing... it doesnt say anything but before i saw the lyrics i was wondering if maybe the heroine was also heroin like she was his drug... that brought him up everytime... idk anyways |

i heard this was about some politician who shot himself on television... but idk i thought it sounded out there especially as how i havent heard about any major politician killing himself on tv and what not but maybe im just out of the loop... i also dont quite see how the lyrics fit but... yeah wondering if anyone else heard this... i think the gwyneth explanation or apple one makes a little more sense.... |

ok i know this has nothing to do with the actual song and i myself get annoyed when people go off on random tangents about songs but... the first time i was introduced to it was by this really close guy friend of mine... he really liked this other girl and i was trying to help him out... that ended up not working out about the same time i had some big issues in my life and we pulled each other through it... now we are dating and he told me that he sent the lyrics to me because he felt that way... he felt like no matter what happened he and i would never happen because we were too close... turns out thats just made everything a bazillion times better :]

this song just really reminds me of shakespeares othello... like before he realizes that hes wrong and that desdemona was faithful... that sort of i love you but i jsut cant deal with the idea of you being with anyone else... and hes feeling rejected "your love is the best thing ill never have" and used. especially the beginning where hes talking about kissing her goodnight one last time |
