whenever i listen to this song i invision the nager and desperation of a dyinng civilisation. don't really know what they wanted to express through this song, but i think it pretty much fits the european conquest of america. the spanish and portuguese came to the indians land and destroyed their culture, killed their people, killed their gods. this is the cry of the dead spirits. |

in my country when someone has horses glasses it means they have a narrow view. so maybe "wired were the eyes of a horse on a jet pilot" means that the jet pilot who bombs doesn't see the whole picture of what he is doing. he might be manipulated into doing this, brainwashed to believe that he is doing something just. that's why he is smiling. or maybe i'm just talking a bunch of shit here. think about it anyway |

when i listen to this song i imagine a space travel, not really with a space ship or siomething like that. you know ...when you float around in your dreams. the beggining part is the journey itself. then..in the middle you arive at orion and then the solos kick in. and the end part is of course the trip back. one of the greatest metallica songs ever. it gives me chills whenever i listen to it........damn ti's such a good song....i would love to see it played live, but the chances of that happening are slim :( |

ok...it is about drugs..plain and simple. the cover with the hands and crosses is a mix between master and disposable heroes. i see hints of both heroin and cocaine in the song...so who cares ..it is about drug addiction in general |

brilliant song...excellent voice, excellent lyrics excellent instrumental. the first and the last words are the ones which move me the most. this is totally an anti war song because it says that not even the sound of guns can hide the shame of those who started the war. another song from the "war sucks" collection :) |

why do a lot of people asociate megadeth songs with metallica? c'mon, dave has nothing better to do then write about them all the time? megadeth is bigger than that, and that's what i have to say. don't get me wrong, i was a huge (and still am) metallica fan before i've even heard of megadeth, but i can say that megadeth kicks ass. if dave would have stayed with metallica megadeth would have never existed. lets be gratefull for two great bands, not just one |
