I may be taking this song way too literally, but here's what I think it's about: I think it's based around a relationship and the song is from the guy's point of view. I think that the guy couldn't sleep because he misses the girl and he is thinking about whether or not he can trust her to be faithful. I think he's gone to a place where he can feel at peace & think things over. He's all alone, looking up at the sky perhaps. He wished she was with him. He thinks things will work out between them, and he thinks she should go do her thing. I think she may be an actress or something like that because "break a leg" is something you say to wish an actor good luck. He's saying it's okay for her to go do her own thing and leave him behind, because the people she's supposed to be entertaining are waiting for her. He's accepting of the fact that he is not the only thing in her life, but he still wants nothing more than to have her with him. He wants her to be by his side as he stares at the night sky. Thats just how I interpreted it. :D |
