Ok, I watch too much placebo stuff, but interestingly on 4music presents, Brian was talking about this song and said this is two men talking to each other – so there you go. |

On the album chart show ( C4 UK) Brian said that the song was inspired by a visit to Iceland during 24-hour sun. The vistas, the geysers, the salt pools and the fact that there is no crime there. I love this song (hey, I love most of the album), I guess the ‘and then we’ll rob’ them is a reference to the low crime rate. As for the rest of it, I really have no idea – except that I can’t afford a pair of Jimmy Choos! |

It was in the Mirror’s entertainment section ‘The Ticket’ March 3-9 2006. On their official site Placeboworld, there is an archive of press articles and a couple of them discuss the new songs on Meds, but not that particular interview (yet?). http://www.placeboworld.co.uk/archive/old_press.html |

I love this song too, one of my favourites on the album. It is about adultery (according to an interview). Perhaps the line is 'cuckold eyes' not 'cuckled eyes' because a cuckold is a man whose wife is unfaithful. |

I feel like I'm forever quoting the same interview, but it was very informative :-) According to that article, this song is about a psychopath forgetting to take their medication. |

In an interview Brian said that "Out of the womb and into the void" was a line about his son who was born last year. |
