A few weeks ago this song was played as an introduction to the service at my church. As a big fan of Coldplay, I was delighted to hear this song, but was also struck with the possibility of the duality of meaning this song can have. Not only is it a declaration of worldly affection, but this song could also be taken as a declaration of the love of God to his followers, or of the followers to God Himself. Coldplay never ceases to amaze me. :) |
