It's about his finding out his daughter had a seizure two hours after she was born, and the thoughts going through his head as he hurried back to the hospital. The "your soul" is once the child became stable, and they knew she would survive, her soul too would survive. (Joel told the crowd this when I saw Athlete live last year - I'd trust the guy who wrote it). |
