i pretty much agree with death_bunny. "shh this is our, dirty, little, secret" - usually rapists and child molesters tell kids not to tell anyone. in this song, it sounds like she's talking to herself and repeating what the father said. this idea is repeated at the end with "what happens here, stays here..." i'm not sure about the "tower of babel" allusion means though :/ |

"by rage.love on 02-16-2006 @ 03:01:02 PM i have to say that reading some of the posts in thread is rather infuriating. this man is basically baring his soul to his fans, and everyone else dismisses his religious beliefs as a gimmick. that's absolutely sickening. the yarmulke and the beard aren't props, they're a standard in hasidic judaism. on top of all this, he's a phenomenal talent. long story short, go do some research before you judge someone like that " agreed completely. even though i'm not hasidic, i am jewish and people who make fun of things like a yamulke and talis are ignorant and ridiculous. these things are not a publicity stunt, they have religious value. as for the actual song, i like it lots!!! :D i think it's great that a hasidic man is a reggae artist just like i think it's awesome that a white man (eminem) is a rapper, females are screamers(otep and flyleaf) and rappers (eve) and a black guy is doing punk (skindred even though they're also kinda reggae). |
