Yeah, I see the whole relationship dying thing too. I also think he's cheated on her (dipping his toes in other peoples' oceans), because he's just lost interest, and now she's all mad and he's waiting till she's less mad (waiting till the heat dies down) to show his face in town again. I love this song. I reckon it's about the end of a relationship. But I don't see how:

comes into it. Thoughts? Is it that she's trying to see the good stuff only she can't because she's still sad over the end of the relationship - the bad part? |

Hmm, this song is awesome. I think the song is about faith and having faith in like a new relationship, or an old one. Any relationship. So yeah, faith and relationships. Yep, I think it's about a person who loves another person, and they'll always, or at least try to, be true to each other.

I heard a cover of this song on the OC, by Petra Haden and Bill Frisell, and if any of you are thinking something derogatory about the OC or the music or how they take good music and ruin it then fine, that's your opinion.
Anyway, it was a pretty good cover, but it's heaps sadder than Coldplay's, coz the girl has a sweet little innocent voice. It makes me cry...yes. So yes, check it out. |
