So at first, I thought this song was about suicide. Then for some reason I interpreted it as an abusive relationship - not physical abuse, emotional. The girl can't talk to the guy anymore, and she realizes what he's doing to him and wants to get out before it's too late. "You lower yours and grant him one last choice: drive until you lose the road" kind of makes me think maybe she's kicking him out. And while she loves him and doesn't want this relationship to end she knows it has to - and her friend is narrating this, realizing what's happened, wishing he could save her life. That's just my interpretation. |

| This song...oh, it perfectly describes a situation from last summer. My ex came back into my life, while I had another boyfriend. And for one night, it was like we were in love again. It's bittersweet, and the consequences that came from that were messy, but it was an experience that meant a lot to me, and while some bad things happened because of it, it's like the two of us were in our own world that night. I think she's referencing "No Rain" by Blind Melon in the section: "Singing that song on the radio I blame these puddles on the rain You know I gotta keep these cheeks dry today Gotta keep my cheating strategy And baby I'm gonna have it made" It just reminds me of "ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today so stay with me and I'll have it made" from the Blind Melon song. And there's a lot of references to rain. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I just thought it was kinda ironic. |

I absolutely adore this song. I've been in a long distance relationship before that hasn't worked out, and come this fall - four years after the last one fell apart - I'm going to be in a long distance relationship again, assuming my current boyfriend and I haven't broken up. Although it's only been a little less than a month - I really feel like we're right for each other, and we can get through any distance thrown at us. And to numpomolelo - I actually have been in that situation recently, except I've been the girl in the middle. If you two truly belong together, then it's bound to happen. :) |

To me, the line about "I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed" actually means that he doesn't feel you have to have sex on your wedding night (just for example), that just the pure happiness of being married is enough. This song is amazing. Period. |
