They played this song at my mates funeral. It was incredibly sad, but it also made me remember all the times he and i had together and to tell me that he is not gona as long as all those memories live on. |

A brilliant song one of my fav u2 songs. says so clearly that you are who you are and you are made that way on purpose. It also says (i'll give you everything you want/except the thing you want) that when people, especially adolescents are stuck in difficult times, you can give them everything they want but you cant give them popularity - the thing, at that age, that they want. |

Yellow Submarine is not crap. Yellow submarine is a work of art by the brilliant paul mccartney, about nothing in particular. You try and write something about nothing and see how far it gets you - but for the beatles - even with ringo's poor voice, it earned them yet another place at the top of both the US and UK charts. Not many artists have done even that, especially with a song about nothing. |
