This is definately a haunting song, but I really love it. I can see where the Christianity aspect can come in, but I can also see maybe they're talking about a girl or an addiction or hardship or something. Love this song. |

| System of a Down – B.Y.O.B. Lyrics

System of a Down is one of my favorite bands, and I'll tell you why. They actually have a meaningful message behind their music. They're not afraid to take a stand about something they truely believe in. A lot of bands now, if you call them bands, just scream and talk about their problems and then rappers just talk about shooting cops and getting metal on their teeth. System of a Down has a cause and they have awesome music to back it up. Rock on Serj! |

Listen, everyone is trying to get everyone else to believe what they believe about what this song is about. Thrice may have written this song for the children in Uganda, but that may not be the message it sends to other ppl. To some ppl this song carries a christian message, to others it doesn't. It all depends on the way you interperate the song. That's what the majority of music is like. You just have to listen to the song and form your own opinions. |

Jared is my hero. He's the only guy so far in this new wave of bands that can scream in a song without sounding like a dying cat. |

This is a really great song. It really puts in a nutshell how I feel about my boyfriend. We have our fights, but I am still right there waiting for him and he's right there waiting for me. Gotta love Staind |

Gosh people this is a great song! It's so true as well. God will always take us back no matter what we've done. He loves us no matter what and will always forgive us. |

Yikes some of you ppl need therapy. I thought you were supposed to post stuff like, "this song to me means that..." not "OMG THESE GUYS ROCK! I'VE GONE TO 23 OF THEIR LIVE SHOWS!!" jeeez. Anyway, I think this song is pretty clear on meaning. It just strikes a deep chord with me because I've had a few nasty relationships and afterwards, I felt exactly like this song. I just wanted to run away and not try to work things out anymore. |

| Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics

atomsplitter, what country are you living in cause obviously it's not America. The old America that our founding fathers tried to create is dead. The only thing left is crooked politicians that send our young men and women to a God forsaken country for no apparent reason. Green Day has the right idea about what this country is becoming. You probably don't like them because they're not afraid to speak their minds. |

Absolutely one of my favorite christian songs. This song is especially close to me because my best friend and I used to sing it together before she moved away. |

This is a great song. I love Michael W. Smith. This song is so true because Jesus really lowered himself and he went through a horrible death just to save us. |

This song for me means no matter where you come from you can still do great things. You can move from the bottom all the way to the top. Gotta love Eminem! |

I agree with Lightning.J. we're not trying to force our beliefs on anyone, we're just saying the message that this song says to us and for christians, its a christian message. |

I agree. I love this song and the video too. I especially love the line "And the one poor child who saved this world
And there's ten million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them". |

the video for this is totally awesome and it was a bit unexpected how they used the war theme. I do agree with herbit that it doesn't have to be about death... the line "She Dies..." could be symbolism, but death is what stands out in my mind because of the video lol |
