as much as i am a huge fan of cursive, and as much as i h-a-t-e bands like JEW or slipknot. bashing tool and even sotd just seems like you really know nothing about either one. i haven't heard any of either bands newer albums because i'm not so much into that kind of mainstream stuff anymore, but both bands have EXCELLENT instrumentalists, and manyard is one of the best vocalists i've ever heard, though, neither band has too great of lyrics. long story short, i've grown past sotd and tool a long time ago, yet i can still appreciate them, and i listen to almost exclusively metal, hardcore, post-hardcore (cursive included), even emo (emo being american football, NOT fallout boy. there is no such thing as mainstream emo, that i know of at least). |

i've never listened to the get up kids but i'm definitely going to have to side with white tide on this. it's about time someone recognizes that fall out boy and dashboard ARE NOT EMO. emo's been around since the 80's - and is NOT a hairstyle OR a fashion OR a genre of music that consists of pop-rock and absolutely terrible lyrics/instrumentation. and @ migitscuttinginline - what's that site supposed to be proving?.. |

cap'n jazz joanfrc american football owen these bands are all unbeatable as far as chill music goes, in my opinion. nothing beats listening to 'summer ends', lying on a hammock on a sunny spring morning with a light breeze. |
