picture a cat glued to a burning building, a spin on the cliche firemen rescuing cats. maybe they glued it their themselves. a complete change in role. but the way i see it is that a girl is attached to him sexually and emotionally and HE is both the flaming rod AND the burning building, in turmoil.. about to crash down all around her.

wow, if i see ONE more post that starts out "this song is about.." blah blah blah. a heart felt song. frusciante rocks. i heard he hit the chords for this song perfect his first time. the riffs have a hendrix-esque feel. and bl4ck... all i have to say is wow. can anyone say "self absorbtion" ?? ps im sure when anthony wrote "is where i drew some blood" he didnt mean from his "wound" i assume he was talking about drawing blood into the needle before before shooting up (not that i have any personal experience) lovely song |

everything about this song is beatiful. i fell in love the moment i heard the first seconds of the opening guitar riff. and the drums have a kinda implied stutter beat that makes me think of a heart skipping a beat. as for lyrics ive heard that the song started about a hangover and i definately can see that. but i also see it being about love and missing a loved one. fav line "when the night takes a deep breath..." youre out partying the night takes all your energy, your day has none. ie hangover. umm yeah thats about it |

hmm... the bass in this song is pretty simple isnt it? the guitar is beautiful. i almost forget to breathe when the solo starts. as for the lyrics, i played this song backwards once, just for kicks, and could make about as much out for lyrics. eddie says he changes it up so he dosn't have to explain it. everyone just hear what you hear. |
