| Jeff Buckley – Gunshot Glitter Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's probably in my top five favourite Buckley Songs. It has a color and Emotion Landscape to it, that I really love, and only get with songs that connect with me personally, and that's how I feel about This Stunning Song. It shocks me what little imagination people seem to have. This Song, was going to Rule The World. Like All His Others |

| Jeff Buckley – Jewel Box Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I Love the whole of the Second section of Sketches, especially after finding out the intent for "My Sweetheart The Drunk". Michael Tighe said he described it as "Terror Music", Kind of Scary, Creepy, but with moments of Beauty, kind of a blend of the two. Made me appreciate the songs I already loved, knowing this now, even more, like "Murder Suicide..", and "Demon John". I absolutely adored this song from the get go, and of late thought it would sound stunning with some backing from the band. As for "You Left Some Stars In My Belly", I read it as simply that moment when someone you are deeply into has just left your presence, but leaves such a feeling on you, like a kind of Stomach buzz, like when one is nervous, but the positive side of that. Where you Can't get them off your Mind. They just have such an impact, one can't help but feel: "You Left Some Stars In My Belly". I am Obsessed with Him To a shocking degree, especially what this album would've turned out like. You must Hear "You And I (Guitar Version)" as it seems to be called. Stunning. LEGEND LOST. |

| Jeff Buckley – Your Flesh Is So Nice Lyrics | 18 years ago |

STUNNING Song. Another one of those influential ones. As I've said elsewhere, this guy was to Affect Music Massively Still. He Lives On. |
| Jeff Buckley – Gunshot Glitter Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Though not my Favourite (It's still highly ranked Right up there), It Is Possibly the most Influential Song on me. |
| Jeff Buckley – How Long Will It Take Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Love This Song. Love the reggae sound, and how beautiful (As Usual, As Expected) Jeff's voice goes over the top. Stunning. |
| Jeff Buckley – I Woke Up in a Strange Place Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I love the way he plays the Acoustic version. and of course, the main Line, repeated at the end. "Fate Is Gonna Find..." Words Fail Me. |
| Jeff Buckley – Sweet Thing Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Cover Of Van Morrison, from the Classic "Astral Weeks": Stunning Version. He turns the 3 minute original into this song of Epic Beauty |
| Jeff Buckley – Calling You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| One of The Songs I want Played At My Funeral | |
| Jeff Buckley – River of Dope Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Considering the circumstances of hte demise of the author, and The CLEAR similarity. | |
| Jeff Buckley – You And I (Guitar Version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
The Only Song I think I'll love more than this Demo, is that BLOODY Unheard but OFT-Discussed. "Sky Blue Skin". WHERE IS IT? I Hope I live Long Enough To Hear IT. |
| Jeff Buckley – Untitled Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Beautiful song. No indication as to whether it would've been used anywhere. I'm glad to have heard this; and having lived to hear Jeff's Music. |
| Jeff Buckley – River of Dope Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This song is Seriously Eerie, considering the Demise of it's author. I'm surprised people haven't reacted as much on the web as I thought they would; |
| Jeff Buckley – I Know We Could Be So Happy, Baby (If We Wanted to Be) (Full Band Version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I Love the Bass and main guitar bit in this song. Interesting that he still wasn't satisfied with this and made the stunning demo version on Sketches. I guess I'm updating all my comments. I Love This Guy |
| Jeff Buckley – All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Jeff Buckley – You And I (Guitar Version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Quite simply one of my FAVOURITE JEFF BUCKLEY SONGS EVER. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Satisfied Mind Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I had to learn this song, and I think I've got the vocals down pretty well (NOTE: not half as good as Jeff's though). IOt's soo powerful. It's like a Religious song for me. I get a kinda (and this may sound cheesy), spiritual feeling after playing it, or listening to it. THE BEAUTY IN THIS SONG AND JEFF'S PERFORMANCE OF IT ASTOUNDS ME beyond anything. |
| Jeff Buckley – Morning Theft Lyrics | 20 years ago |
hmm, me thinks that is hard to believe. What is so special and secret about the song? Unless it was deep CI/conspiracy/murder stuff, I don't think it's that important to keep to yourself. Unless his mother Mary herself told you and asked you to keep schtum |
| Jeff Buckley – Kanga-Roo Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Great cover of the original. Love the rock edge to it, in the last bit that compliments the softer, more melodic earlier riff | |
| Jeff Buckley – I Want Someone Badly Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this song is great. Love all his Blues stuff | |
| Jeff Buckley – Grace Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I also Love the "Mystery White Boy" Version. He had so much vision for every thing musical, and he makes various changes in many songs live, and makes it work, which is the most important. Live on Jeff. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Grace Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| "Grace" Is a masterpiece | |
| Jeff Buckley – Calling You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| AMAZING!!!! | |
| Jeff Buckley – That's All I Ask Lyrics | 20 years ago |
IT's actually: "Nevermind with your heart, how much is owed." I checked with the version he played in Live a L'Olympia, and that's what he sings, on *that* version at least. |
| Jeff Buckley – New Year's Prayer Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think this is one of my favourite songs on "Sketches(...)", and I'm rather shocked there haven't been more comments. It's rocky, funky with that riff he plays. The drumming is PERFECTION. That gets everyone I've introduced it to into the song. I love this song. He gets everything right in this song, and I Love it |
| Jeff Buckley – Murder Suicide Meteor Slave Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is, to me, Jeff's most disturbing songs. But it's also one of few where I could actually envision the finished version. Would've been beautiful, I love this version all the same, though. I love the "ooooh ahhhh bit". Amazing. The the bit about "Paradise Rock" in the chorus is great. the lyrical content, such as "sick of all the Vomit Childhood, not a trampoline..." and "Not even a slave to your father", seem VERY personal. And the "Happy" ending is one of the most sarcastic and cleverly done messages I've heard in a song. Cobain tried to do this kinda of thing of showing how he feels in his songs. But I much prefer Jeff |
| Jeff Buckley – Jewel Box Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| One of the only demos on the second Disc* | |
| Jeff Buckley – Jewel Box Lyrics | 20 years ago |
THe Last lines are beautiful. I can play the song too, but it's nothing compared to how awesome this song is. One of the only demos that I think could've passed into the final album unchanged. I LOVE this song, and I think it's up there with "Opened Once" and "Morning Theft" as most touching original songs by Jeff Buckley |
| Jeff Buckley – Morning Theft Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I Love this on a parallel with "Opened Once". Touching, beautiful and very deep. Emotional to sum up all the feelings you get from hearing this song, really. I LOVE it, one of my faves off this "Sketches For (...)" |
| Jeff Buckley – Gunshot Glitter Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love the roughness of it. Another song that, like "Meteor.." isn beautiful in it's rough, disturbing quality. Great Riff too LOVE IT |
| Jeff Buckley – Demon John Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| YEah. The riff mixed with effects at the 0:57-1:00 mark reminds of a theme song or something, but I really love it. I love the riff during the break bits, when sings the line."Demon John" | |
| Jeff Buckley – Back in N.Y.C. Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Very cool song, I didn't know much about him missing New York, but yeah, great song, and very well done by Buckley. The thumping bass that comes and then goes throughout like a siren is great. just great. |
| Jeff Buckley – I Know We Could Be So Happy, Baby (If We Wanted to Be) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| such promise* | |
| Jeff Buckley – I Know We Could Be So Happy, Baby (If We Wanted to Be) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Very Very cool song. Still only unfinished, it had such promised. Now why couldn't he have had just a *little* more time? |
| Jeff Buckley – Haven't You Heard? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song was a demo, but it is very promising. Who knows what it could've become. It's still great as it is. |
| Jeff Buckley – Opened Once Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The last lines, including the sunset and the railroad track bit, are my favourite for a song, and I think that's practically fact that they are some of the best ever. "That I ever Happened....." | |
| Jeff Buckley – Opened Once Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I totally think the lyrics are some of the best that go with a song. PERFECTION. I love this guy's music. This is probably one of the only songs that have ever almost forced me to cry. Listening to it gets a tear in my eye, and it's not because of anything in my life, but the sadness is reaised 110% by Jeff's own eventual circumstances. |
| Jeff Buckley – The Sky Is A Landfill Lyrics | 20 years ago |
The whole rebellion through 'sharing bodies' and acts of love is very "1984", by George Orwell. Anyone? Great Song, I loved it straight away. I feel this song could've been a great rock song classic. As his mother said on the official site, he used to change his songs about, making them better and better, and the best example is "Unforgiven" which became "Last Goodbye". He never go to get round to making the album he wanted and making it as perfect as it could've become. Still better by far in it's uncompleted state than most people's best efforts in a lifetime. |
| Jeff Buckley – Everybody Here Wants You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love this song; when I first heard it: Instantly Loved it. It's got this very beautiful soul-like tone, and I'm a fan of that kind of music too so it was beautiful to see him do this as well as heavier rockier songs. So diverse. In the words of his mother, "The World Is A Little Colder Without Him". | |
| Jeff Buckley – What Will You Say Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Main Riff is truly something else | |
| Jeff Buckley – What Will You Say Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I LOOOVE this song, it's just so different, it's even played in a different tuning, and the Solo is full of pain and wow, it's awesome! | |
| Jeff Buckley – Vancouver Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I just love this song, period. It's just brilliant; great opening riff, and amazing bit with the "Now, smell the rain of London it still insists". The song kinda breaks up it's previously steady beat. AMAZING song | |
| Jeff Buckley – Witches' Rave Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It also seems his like one of his most radio-friendly, but totally not in a bad way at all. loads of Great hooks, and riffs, and the drumming is very effective; I found myself listening to the song for the drums only for a while. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Witches' Rave Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I agree with "Fierceflawless", it's one of a few those moments where I feel I can hear him openly enjoying singing a lyric or part of a song. That line's delivery it's very crooner-like, if you undersand my point; laid back and cool. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Yard Of Blonde Girls Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Well I'm not sure what you're sayng as I speak Englsh and a little french but not that language; Using the french, I can see something about the song being "very sad", and that's all I think. In my POV, I think this is a very cool rock song cover. I'm rather surprised there haven't been that many comments on this song. | |
| Jeff Buckley – You and I Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I suppose. Still beautifully haunting and touching nevertheless | |
| Jeff Buckley – Be Your Husband Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I loved it from the moment I heard it. Brilliant. Lost for Words. Superlatives fail me | |
| Jeff Buckley – Corpus Christi Carol Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| For "Nickel..." and "Red..": It's always a matter of opinion; No one person can honestly say this person is best becasue they played/sang different styles of music. | |
