The ultimate irony is that without capitalism, these guys would merely be less famous California punk trash. |

Then what's it about, genius? You haven't provided anything insightful on this site at all. All of your posts are you calling people out for not knowing the lyrics or saying that you like a song.... oh wait, the creationism bullshit too that apparently runs through all of Elliott's songs. You're fucking worthless and a disgrace to anybody who calls themselves a fan of Elliott, thug. Go back to college, take a non-credit reading comprehension class, and probably a course on elementary grammar. |

I'm probably wrong but I look at it is teling about breaking up but being unable to move past the feelings. "Volcano eyes that keep me warm I turn for heat, but I wake to no one there." You get caught in the routine of waking up to the same body and then when the relationship is over, the routine is broken. It's like the phantom limb: your body thinks you still have your leg, and you feel the sensation of itching... even after your leg is gone. |

I always felt that this was a song about unrequited love. It seemed pretty obvious to me that the girl liked him, he liked her, but he was busy with another relationship or some other endeavor and they never could get together. |
