the title itself is for ironic purposes. I feel there are two parts to this song, the first being as most people have said the feeling of the end of the world 'Pale in the flare light The scared light cracks & disappears And leads the scorched ones here And everywhere no one cares' It reads as the aftermath of destruction. My other idea (and this is probably wrong but hey this place is about your own interpretation) was about the second coming Jesus (and for those who have read about it in the bible it's not as wonderful as it sounds) and Chris is describing the wrath ensued on the world (or maybe just america hence the title) because of what we have become of ourselves. |
