Actually, Watchman, I think he WAS going to jump before she showed up, but then seeing someone else (the girl) in the same perdiciment put it in perspective for him. He felt compelled to stop her and, in turn, finally understood what a mistake it would have been for him to end his own life. Its weird how the human condition allows us to be in a completely fucked up state and still want to save each other. We all want to save the people around us (and sometimes not ourselves)...its weird, but when we save others we subconsiously save ourselves in the process. We all think about suicide (most people anyway) but its so true when he says "the trick is your NOT supposed to act on it" I think the guy in the song finally realized that... Great Song. |

| You know it sucks that this song had to come out this late. My best guy friend and the first person i ever really loved commited suicide in 2004... Music was really important to him though. Music was a big part of his life and I wish he would have listened to a song like this... it may have changed things ya know? I just hope more inspirational songs like this start to surface. | |
