I embarrassingly thought the lyrics were:
Panda show
So I thought he was singing about a panda and the last line was being sung to the Panda:
Open your eyes Chinese Mustard Eyes.
It's weird how wrong you can be. |

Who cares if this is about drugs or not?
Even if you've never taken acid you can still enjoy the beauty of this song and relate it your own life. |

Nobody here is really talking about the lyrics! Damn, cause I really wanted to know if anyone agrees that the girl he is singing about is working at a strip club (she comes out on Fridays, playing the changes for all the boys, before she puts it all away etc) and that maybe he sees her insecurities off stage and her vulnerability on stage. Just a thought. |

I think this is the more upbeat version of Murder of One. I think they are both about trying to get through to people in bad relationships. |

I think this song is about disappointing yourself and being too critical of others. It's easy to forget that you and everyone else just want to have a good time. |

I actually think this song is great. It's about a train ride through the London underground and is also about being in a new place. I think it's about the subtle differences in culture (aluminium/aluminum) that can be really alienate. London can be a daunting place and to get from 'the outside of everything' to the 'inside of you' is an example of how love can be tranquil. |

I also think that it is about change and feeling alone waiting for someone to connect with.
The title of this album 'This Desert Life' is mentioned in the song and when you think about it, most of the songs on this album are about loneliness which sometimes feels like being in the desert. I think these lyrics are about feeling yourself disappearing along with any hope of finding the person you need. |
