Does anyone also have the ending to this song. Its like and extra. Its someone calling the band and he leaves a hilarious phone message. It goes like this. Woot first Comment. The song is actually sung from a band called Clarissa. Apology-Clarissa. Also whoever tried to decipher these lyrics did a horrible job. O well. The song was written very vaguely and really doesnt have a concrete meaning. What i can guess is that it is a love song. A boy apologizing to his girlfriend. They aparently broke up. Its a great slow song that has a lot of heart. Great song. you can download it off itunes from the name i already gave. |

Love this song. Today happened to be the day that it was stuck in my head so I thought it would be appropriate to type in my favorite line from the song into Google and see what I found. Randomly I was lead here. Btw the line was. "And I just want to get mugged at knifepoint to get cut enough to wake me up" Anyway this song is very simple to get. It’s about a person (teenage boy most likely) who is really bored. He picks a few hours of the day to actually live and the rest he just sleeps away. He talks about the trends of the week like backstabbing his friends and trying to make amends. He talks of gaining the strength to keep his head above the water (surviving the week) to never go to that place again which is probably depression from being so bored. He also talks of "Was to crash and burn and then return again to practice the life that I pretend. Provides enough to get me through the weekend" This basically means he goes through life on autopilot (apathetically trying) just to give him something to do because he’s bored. He realizes his boredom is leading to a person he never wanted to be. This is when he says "And I just want to get mugged at knife point to get cut enough to wake me up" which means what it says" he doesn’t want to be this person anymore so he wants to get cut because that would wake him up. (Of course he’s not serious about getting cut, he's talking about a philosophical wake-up) "Cause I know that I don't want to die Sitting around watching my life go by" This means he doesn’t want to die knowing that he sat around watching his life waste away. The next couple of lines also relate to that because he talks of not completely figuring it out yet because they are all stuck in this funk. They are stuck just looking at their wasteful lives. I imagine this relates to drugs, as his friends and he are looking at what they've become and think they are "stuck" as they watch themselves spiral out of control. I Hope that made sense. |

i could be wrong but i think the song is just about someone who is dying and someone is regreting not calling her before she died. Indesion to call you. means he should of called her shes dying cuz shadow in the background in the morgue. wait okay shes allready dead. but he songs main gest is that she should not worry about him because he will always love her and he will miss her. the cool thing about this song and im glad other people caught this. is the omage to tim burtons a nightmare before chrismas it fits so well. jack and sally are the main characters. and having haloween on chrismas is just in reverse. i think thats so cool that theyd include that |
