I have read a Long Hard Road Out of Hell and i am quite sure that this song is what MM views as the best on the album. It is his interpretation of how his life was heading, a brutal realisation of his state of mind, doing coke, referring to the dollar bills which he snorted through. I'll be your lover/I'll be forever/I am tomorrow/I am anything when I'm high reflects the drug culture that he found, people delirious to the real world. |

I'm not sure exactly what this means, but i know Nikola was going through difficulties while he was writing For Monkeys, self esteem. I think that he is wrote this at an hour where he seemed comletely lost. He didnt know where he was goling and he wasnt satidfied with where he had been. |

Nikola thoughout much of their music alludes to being a bit of a follower adn this is no change. I agree that it is about a one night stand adnNikola feeling pressured because that is the culture. I am not sure but the lyrics concerning the pj's to me talk about the stranger that he is with, that when you erase the pj's metaphorically, they are just a person who is scared of being left out as well, one who follows. |

It is a great song before they sold out. Anyway....what does it mean? |

| Depeche Mode – Personal Jesus Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think this song is simply about the good friend that one confides in. Personal Jesus is the savior of this person, keeping them sane by their companionship/friendship. | |
| The Verve – Space And Time Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I think it is about a couple whose relationship is completely based on each others insecurities. "There'll be no lullabies There'll be no tears cried We feel numb 'cause we don't see That if we really care And we really loved Think of all the joy we'd feel" They physically gratify each other to give each other a sense of belonging, as each are too afraid to be alone. |

To me, this song is of one who has come to the crossroads of his/her. He sees things he should have done to fulfill him, but knows that there is 'no time for sad lament as a wasted life is bitter spent'. He knows that there is still time for him to do what he wants to fulfill himself "rising into the light" and he is going to do it anyway despite him being too old or whatever saying that "he'll do it in or out of time" |
