well. i think this song is about two friends, or a couple, and they have both decieved eachother. but, one person has come clean and is apologizing and "taking the fall." and the narrator has not told the other person the things he has done, and even though they're getting closer, he feels like a coward. But i think the other person may think the narrator has done something because of the line "i can't deny/ somehow you're seeing it / so you take the fall" the narraor is also saying he feels really guilty and is getting upset about it, but he's not sure he'll ever come clean, hence "and i'm breaking after all/ this could last forever." |

well. this song to me is just how you have best friend, and have gone through alot with them. and he's just saying that he trusts them, and they can trust him. and they can both lean on eachother in hard times. and 3lancer- the lyrics ARE "feel fright" but i can definitely see how you could think the other. and the other lyrics would make sense. i could be wrong. but in the cd booklet it said "should i feel fright?" and i listened very closely to the song and it's what i heard. anyway. this is a great song. so true and all around well written and gorgeous. |
