sobored916... HAHA! that's exactly what I was thinking! also, this site isn't about commenting things such as "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE BLINK BROKE UP" or talking about how AVA sucks live, or other shit like that. do we care?! NO. the point of this site is to discuss SONG MEANINGS. and jus tto let y'all know, Tom doesn't think about the Blink break-up 24/7, and you guys are just retarded if you think ALL of AVA's song have to do with Blink. but annnnnnnyways, this song is just amazing. I love the beginning how it gives you that good feel. it reminds me of a sunny day. my favorite part is when it's gets very powerful at the pre-chorus "And suddenly, you've done it all. you've won me over, in no time at all" I think the song is about getting "the gift" or a relationship or a person, and just being happy and wanting to do whatever you can for that person. and making "the world [you] know disappear" and all of the bad things go away so everything is good :) |

I know a lot of people are disappointed with this song, but I think it's one of the most powerful, at least to me. I love this song. I love how it starts off slow in the beginning and then it gradually gets faster and faster until BOOM the chorus hits... I really like the guitar in the chorus, and the versus are just so powerful. I think the song is about a time period where there is a war going on, and everyone is preoccupied and worried. and the guy is saying "I'll be your distraction. I'll be yours"... it's just amazing. I'm not sure if I'm right... but I was thinking that in this part: "there's a field nearby, with words written in stone" means that maybe the field is a cemetary? and maybe someone has died? it's just a guess.... |

it's supposed to be "oh g-d I feel like I'm in for it now, and how this kiss would be wonderfully vain" |

I completely love this song... the guitar, the vocals, the emotion in it... it's amazing. But i'm still not sure what it's about. here are some of my ideas: "I fancy you, but i've been destitute"-- she fell in love with someone because she just wanted to be in love so badly "I want to bury you"--she wants to 'bury' her relationship with this person "vultures circle round, feathers float, wings flap beaks pound"--symbolizes the death of the relationship (vultures circle around dead things) "I could never reundo you"--even though it turned out bad, she wouldn't undo it I'm not totally sure what she means when she sings "Dismantle me"... I have 2 theories: 1)one of the definitions of DISMANTLE is to take apart; disassemble; tear down; to put an end to something. so when she sings this, she could mean that she wants everything to end. 2) another definition of DISMANTLE is to strip, as in strip one's clothes. she could be singing this in a sexual way... like, even though it turned out bad, she still wants it, which is why she "could never reundo [the person]". so she's asking him to strip her clothes. I have noo idea if I'm right... I could be off 100%. tell me what you all think :) |
