i can relate to this songs lyrics right now....i messed up with someone i cared deeply about...and now it's over...if i ever get another chance to love, i will never make the same mistakes again...because now i know how much it hurts to lose someone you love so much.... i'll be a better person in the futre but i wish i could have been that better person for her...... |

definitely one of the most moving songs in recent memory. he loves a girl that no longer loves him back. BUT..here's the catch. the tables used to be turned...earlier in their relationship she loved him but for whatever reason he no longer loved her back. that's why he repeats the words "is it my turn": "Is it my turn to wish you were lying here." "Is it my turn to fictionalize my world" "Is it my turn to hold you by your hands, tell you I love you and you not hear me" "Is it my turn to totally understand" in other words, is it now his turn to be in the same situation that she was in. and finally the words "isn't it amazing how some things completely turn around"...he is noting the irony of how the tables used to be turned, and now he is the one heartbroken by her. what can you say, love can be fickle..... |
