actually she pulls off alt country very well, it's beautiful in its simplicity. if she wanted to do stars all over again, don't you think she would have just record WITH stars. it's a wonderful album and it speaks to me. this song in particular, i read that you didn't think her vocals were up to par in it. well that's because she emphasizing the emotion in her voice and not the actual range of the voice itself. she is a true artist. |

yes but she can get away with being obvious sometimes. this is easily one of my favorite songs period. i love what she does for the indie folk genre. she's just so genuine and honest. i love that this song is so relate-able. i'm in the same situation right now. i really think this song is less about her hurting and more about the fact that she's moving on but that doesn't mean she can get over the person. it's not a sappy sad song. it's just kind of a fact of life. i'm going on with my life but i'll never be able to say that i'm over you. |

i agree as well. the people who are complaining about her voice obviously don't appreciate music that isn't commercial just for the sake of it. she sings is with conviction and emotion in her voice. sometimes it's about the message, not the flawless vocals. it's call art people, come on. |
