I agree entirely with Spyke and Jenschnifer. In this song, people are trying to make you feel guilty for the decisions you've made, as if they would ruin your destiny. This is way off base, but I hear this song and I think of a stripper. A daylight dancer who falls in love with a guy and wishes to escape her current life of desolation, only it isn't that easy. I know. That's not was the song originally intended, but just look at it and think. It could make sense. |

The previous poster could easily be right, and I think it's a great interpretation, but I personally see this song differently. For me this song is about a relationship in which one partner, the male in this case, is extremely possessive over the female. He sings of his devotion, almost obsession, of this woman and how her flaws are meaningless because she still belongs to him. She's still his 'light', regardless of how fucked up she is. The verses at the end are her response, her declaration that she is finds harmony belonging in his heart, even though it cuts her off from her other friends. Beautiful song, I only wish Lacuna Coil would do an interview or something where they reveal the meanings of their lyrics. |
