Since the song is written from the pov of a character who is on drugs, some of the lines border on gibbererish, but the important part is. "Theres nothing wrong with me, theres something wrong with you" I see it as a man whos on drugs, defending his habit against society, claiming theres something wrong with society, not the drug addict who escapes from it. Upholstery loving men might be a jab at consumerism, "stepson eat the fish" might be an accusation of incest, i dunno. The guys so fucked up on coke that his arguments against society come out as gibberish. |

"They take me away from the strangest places Sweet Danny and Lisa" How could you think that danny and lisa dont represent drugs? Seems pretty obvious to me. They're also old friends of daren, so I assume theres a double meaning that only makes sense to daren, but the drug connotation is definetly there. |
