Coldplay – Til Kingdom Come Lyrics 20 years ago
I echo all the expressions of deep longing, unconditional love and everlasting faith that others see in Coldplay's Kingdom Come, a significant gift on their album. Even while I can see this powerful, emphatic song as an expression of anticipating and becoming alive, I also can see it as accepting and expressing bottomless grief, and finally working through letting go of a deepest desire (to experience something, someone, or Someone) that likely is not humanly possible. ..Not until an inevitable end of some indeterminate time of internment, and the beginning of another that must be very different.

We are constrained to see only as much as we have experienced, imagined, dreamed, and suffered. I can _only_ write with authority about _myself_, as can you. By hitting a core of both human despair and exhilaration this song makes so many various meanings and parallels quickly _seem_ obvious. For some these parallels and feelings are so profound and seem so obvious that it incites useless, self-incriminating and ridiculous ridicule, as if others are expected and required to honor and speak on their behalf. Most likely their letting go hasn't begun.

(my interpretation and application)
still your heart, and hold your tongue
your time has not yet come
til you _can_ wait til Kingdom Come

a brutal lesson for most of us
made easier if someone, anyone, would just say,
even if no human could fully promise,
if they would just _say_
always
just say they'll wait

I Truly Believe no one is immune to faith.
Above all, who would always say they'll wait for you?
Whomever you believe has said so, or would say so, is your Faith. Your are blessed if they always have and always will.
