I actually think she is a hypocrite because of the Lady Marmalade video. Even though she was playing a character, she was still acting like a whore to make money. Isn't that something she is stronly against? I also find it weird that a message that you don't have to be skinny, white, and have blonde hair, is coming from a skinny white woman with blonde hair. It just seemed strange to me. As for the video, I think it's ust boring. Nothing in it is funny, and the end doesn't really make much sense. She's going on about where have all the smart people gone and not being stupid, but at the end, the little girl picks up a football. Last time I checked, football isn't a very intellectual sport. It would make A LOT more sense for the girl to pick up a book, or something like that. I also think that vomitting part is completely tasteless. Anorexic and Buliemic (not sure if that's right) people need serious help, and insulting and calling them stupid won't help them get over that problem. The overall message of not having to be an idiot and conform to society's (alledged) view of beuty is good, but Pink is an absolutely horrible choice to deliver that message. Someone mentioned Bjork in a earlier post. I'm not really a fan of her's, but she would be much more suited to deliver this message than Pink. |

| The pacing of this song seems to represent the emotion of everything closing in on you. It starts off really slow which is when the walls begin to move. By the end of the song, the walls are crushing you and there's no way out. So you would be panic and your heart would beat faster, so the music is very fast by that point. When the music stops, it's finally all over, so it all fades away, and the emotions stop as well. | |

I don't think blacklist automatically means communism. You could be blacklisted from a place such as a restaurant or bar for bad behaivour. To me the blacklist part is about artists like the Dixie Chicks. They speak their mind, and when they do, certain radio stations won't play them, and people destroy their records. So they are blacklisted from specific parts of the media. And the "Nothing Wrong" isn't a reference to people doing nothing wrong and being jailed for it during the "red scare". The very next line, "But we've done nothing", means that can't be what he is talking about. The line means that though you may not be doing anything wrong, you aren't doing anything at all. And T3825 before you say we're all stupid, you should really learn proper grammar. You even put "YOUR ALL STUPID" instead of "YOU'RE ALL STUPID". A grammar mistake when insulting other people's intelligence, that's strangely funny to me. |

You are a moron because you said thay people hate 50 Cent because they are jealous of him. You are one of those people that I absolutely hate having a discussion with. Saying I hate him because I am jealous makes no sense. If I were to be jealous of 50 Cent, it would most likely be for his money or fame. This is something that the band The White Stripes have both of. I hate 50 Cent, but I am a huge fan of the White Stripes. So if I hated 50 Cent because of jealousy, I would have to hate the White Stripes too. This is because of the fact that they have the same things 50 Cent has, which would be the reason I am jealous of him. So basically, and arguement of jealousy is completely useless, and does not work at all. All it does is make you look stupid. And to anyone saying "haters" so not discuss and should just leave, fuck off. I can talk about someone I hate just as much as someone I like. This site is to give our meanings to the song, and discuss our opinions on songs and artists. It's not a fucking fan board/site where it's just to talk about how great a band/singer is. If your going to tell me how much you like a band, I'm going to tell you how much I dislike a band. Don't tell me how great they are, and then say I can't tell you how bad they are. If someone insults a band I like, I may say how much I like them, or even tell the other person they're crazy for not liking the (not usually), but I won't tell them they can't say they don't like them. That's just fucking stupid. |

HackingHippie and Emo Tears, neither of you deserve to have access to the internet. I agree, this song and 50 cent suck big time, but not all rap is like this. According to the two of you, rap songs have no meaning to them. Maybe a lot of them don't, but a lot do. Like k-os or Public Enemy or a number of other groups/singers. You can't judge an entire genre based on a few artists or styles in that general genre. Here's an example. I despise any band that sounds remotely like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy, they are put into the category of (Fake) Emo. (Fake) Emo is a sub-category of rock music. So does that mean that all rock music is bad? No it means the two bands I listed, and possibly the sub-category is bad (At least to me and many others around the world). I like other rock bands like Bloc Party, The Vines, The White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who although are rock, are absolutely nothing like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy. If you had stated that you dislike every style of rap, I would understand. But you both appear to be ignorant morons who think that rap is only about killing, drugs, and sex, I just have to tell you. Please, take a pen, and stab yourselves in the ears about 20 times, you're both better off being deaf. P.S. As for the "2 pages of comments vs 50 pages of comments" line, that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Being good doesn't mean your popular. There are probably a bunch of indie rock bands who have barely any comments (or songs for that matter) on this site, that could be amazing artists (i.e. The Mark Inside). Though I hate 50 Cent, saying one reason he sucks or has bad lyrics is because he doesn't have a lot of comments on his song is just plain stupid. I think Good Charlotte is one of, if not the, worst band in music, and some of their songs have tons of comments. Does that mean they suck? No. Does that means they're great? No. It means absolutely nothing. So Emo Tears, I believe you need to say more, because what you said has no meaning at all. But if it's just going to be another completely idiotic comment, just keep it to yourself. |

I fucking hate this song. I don't listen to much rap music, but this man is a disgrace to rap, along with all the other 50 Cent clones. Good rap (or hip hop, there's no real different) is about more than saying "I have more money than you". Whether it's hardcore ganster rap like N.W.A, or philosophical like K-OS, there is much better rap out there than this garbage. P.S. I gurantee that lucky_guess_rox stole that "NA NA NA NA NA NA" thing from a show called Fromage. It's a annual countdown of the worst videos of the year on MuchMusic (Canada), and the host (Ed The Sock) used that joke on the "I'm So Fly" Video |

I hate this song and this band. I thought they were much better when they were called Billy Talent. Burn! Seriously, I don't like BT either, but Hedley is a complete rip-off of them (At least in this and one other song). He sings and acts just like their lead singer (Again, at least in this song). And I don't mean in a slightly similar Kurt Cobain/Craig Nichols way, I mean exact. As for great Canadian bands, I don't think they're anywhere near the top of the list. | I like this song. I like the guitar, the structure, the screaming, the way he repeats one line in the end. However, I liked all that much more in tourettes by Nirvana. It is a complete rip-off. Listen to the two songs back to back, and you will see how close they are to each other. I still like this song, but it IS a rip-off. | |
