| Orgy – Vague Lyrics

Pretty sure this is about drug abuse. Can't feel his face, chasing a line. That's coke. Seems straight-forward. Lyrics seem like he's struggling with addiction and he has to do this to feel normal but he's realizing that he's self-medicating to suppress emotions and becoming dull to them. He sees other people express themselves without this dependence, he can barely remember what it's like to be in touch with his emotions anymore. Hence, why things are vague. At the start it's like the addiction or drugs are talking to him, saying he can't avoid the temptation to use. |

Didn't expect this last track, really different compared to the rest of the album. But a good closer because of that IMO. |

I think being betrayed here may not be the literal interpretation, someone cheating on your or doing something behind your back. Probably this is just because it's how I relate to it, but I feel it's more about the person not being who you thought they were after giving yourself to them in every way possible. The image they presented when you first got to know them is completely different to how they really are once you get truly close to them. |

| Dope – Thanks For Nothing Lyrics

To me this song is about a materialistic girlfriend who is given everything, the singer is identifying himself as a son of a bitch in retrospect for contributing to this in the first place, the girl doesn't realize how good she has it, and doesn't give anything back. So when it's all over he's looking back on it saying thanks for nothing. People get blinded by love. On both sides. Someone could be taking advantage of you and they may not even realize it because they're using money and material things to fill a void in the relationship. |

I believe "Lumps" comes from the phrase "Taking your lumps" as in, making a mistake to grow into a better person. Having that experience doesn't make things easier to deal with all the same though, as is evidence from the song, where he's wishing he hadn't screwed things up and earned these lumps. It's kind of said in a cathartic way. As in, "the bright side of this learning experience is that I've fucked up the best relationship I could have ever had, but at least I know better now". |

Excellent cover, however I don't feel that it gels very well with the overall sound of the album. Would have been better as a bonus track/secret track. |

Well the obvious meaning here to me is about feeling empty and searching for purpose but not being able to find any no matter how hard you try. |

"Life is short, I'll make it what it's worth
With time well spent, time spent so well
So don't run away, just face the new day
Without a single fear in mind
Just take it one day at a time"
This lyric is so simple, yet so beautiful and inspiring. This song and You Only Live Once helped me become a better person. RIP Mitch, you made a difference. |

Awesome song. Really straight-forward. If you did want to relate it to yourself though it's all about being true to yourself and not letting people who talk shit get you down. Let their comments go in one ear and out the other. Don't let the world define you, define yourself. |

| Rabbit Junk – Iso vs Life Lyrics

To me this songs starts off with the person being in denial. Thinking that being alone makes them almost superior or unique. But then near the end of the song they come the realization that isolation is really ruining their life. This is something that really hits home for me, as this is something I have gone through. It wasn't until I met someone special that I realized what an empty shell of a human being I was, I wasn't living at all. The last few lines ring very true:
"I can't fucking breath
I'm suffocating
It's isolation
What the fuck am I hiding from?"
I felt this way so many times, but I always thought I was just meant to be alone and the world telling me how I should live my life made me feel like that. But I was lying to myself. I really did feel that way and couldn't face it. |

| The Blood Brothers – The Shame Lyrics

I think the whole CD is based on the life of one man, Denver Max.
Each song depicts an event or an aspect of his life. The core of this is him being an abusive husband who never really wanted love, became a child molester, killed his wife, went to prison, and then went insane(with other events inbetween of course). The final track is his last moment of sanity, possibly when he's dying, where he realizes what he has done. There are also a lot of metaphors and I think there is just a lot of reflection on society, in general, in this album.
Just a theory. The whole thing could be a concept album. |
