I agree with Kami Kaze and Sensitivetofate. The paranoia theme plays into both the not truely knowing who anyone is, and espionage atittudes. I also think the bit "lord lord mother we're all losin love. lord listen lover we're all missin mama" could mean wanting it all but can't having it all. Like, if you have love, you're missing the "mama" and when you have the mother you're losing love. |

The song, in my opinion is about a person who has lost someone, most like through a break up. But even past that break up, they still love one another. This love isnt spoken of , but is still fed on and visited to in their dreams. They both have been moving on, living and finding other people, but the thought of that one person, that true love, never dies.
I can really relate to this explanation.... |

This song has to be one of my favourites on Antics.
I love the line, "I promise to commit no acts of violence. Either physical or otherwise"
My interpretation of this song is that he's deceiving the girl that he's with. "I'm subtle like a lion's cage. Such a cautious display" Like she sees him as maybe being protective or something, (a lion's cage), but then again, there is a lion inside that could attack... I don't know though, I could be entirely wrong... |

This song is beautiful. He wants to do anything for the one he loves even if she doesn't feel the same way. And just like in a lot of realtionships, there is doubt for some reason. He does feel sorry about the fact that she may be unaware of his feelings. The bit about a dwindling realtionship, the "just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound", he finds it comforting in the fact that he can feel sorry for himself in a way, since she might not feel sorry for him. |
