I like this song as it's pretty much about everything i believe in. This song is sending out a message saying that the heroes that you see on TV are just a glorious escape for people who cant solve their own problems. Too many people expect there to be some kind of divine being that will come down and save them in the time of trouble, but it will never happen. If you want to solve your own problems, you have to stand strong and solve them yourself. The days of hero-worshiping are long gone now as we must stand up for ourselves and fight for what we believe in. |

The first time I read the lyrics I thought that this song would be about drugs, but looking deeper, I see that its much more than that.
I think its about the post-breakup of a serious relationship. The girl has left him and he's trying to cope with the depression. On the saturday nights he goes and gets really drunk and screams out her name, but she cant hear him.

This cover really kicks ass. Children of Bodom made this cover shound nearly like their own song, and I was mistaken into thinking it too. I have heard both Silent Screams, and before I looked it up on the internet, I didnt realise that it was a Slayer Cover. CoB did a fantastic job with this cover. Its comparable to Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's "Hurt" where the cover song sounds like a whole new song. |
