I think they wrote the text in memory of Tom, too. Hard words they give to him. "This is not tonly goodbye, this is I can´t stand you." That hurts. Has anybody read the interview Mark gave? Was great to read it, very informical. He told about the formation of (+44) in the beginning days when Carol Heller was a part of the band and so on. Therefore he told the whole story with Tom. What a strange thing. Whether Tom left Blink (after 13 years!!!!) without any cause and so on, I´m so sad about this. Loving Blink and will ever do so. |

Oh I love this song soo much! It always makes me remembering the summer. When it´s cold and rainy outside and so I´m in bad mood I just add 'Unwritten' to my Winamp, listen to it and soon my bad mood turns into good and I feel like summer. Ich denke jeder kann oder konnte sich schonmal damit indentifizieren, jeder von uns kommt 100 %ig mal in diese Situation. Man steht vor der Person, die man liebt, möchte seinen Gefühlen freien Lauf lassen, traut sich aber nicht, vielleicht aus purer Angst. Angst, zurückgewiesen udn verletzt zu werden, Angst vor dem, was danach kommt... Man sitzt wie ein Kaninchen vor der Schlange und wünscht sich, dass die ganze Angst verfliegt. Does it work? |

boah so genial... als hätten sie den auf ein paar personen in meinem umfeld zugeschnitten, die auch ständigfragen, wieso & weshalb ich etwas mache, sich einmischen, die Sachen erklärt haben wollen, die ich selber nicht verstehe und so weiter... sie reden und reden und reden und im endeffekt gehen sie einfach nur jedem auf die NERVEN. it´s so genius.. it just fits perfect to some people i know. i´d be glad if i hadn´t had to know them because they´re so silly.. they always ask why and what i´m doing, just as the lines "Ständig fragst Du mich warum, wieso, weshalb ich etwas mache,was ich mir dabei gedacht hab. mein englisch ist für das, was ich hierzu sagen will zu schlecht.. sorry ^^ also: ich bewundere die toten hosen immer wieder für die art, wie sie ihre ganzen gefühle in worte fassen... das ist schon fast poetisch ^^ ... es geht hier in dem lied um den tod, und zwar den tof von (ich weiß es nicht mehr genau ^^) 1. campinos oma, 2. die frau von nem anderen bandmitglied oder 3. der mutter von campino. sowas in der richtung war das. und der text ist einfach wunderschön. wo andere leute sagen würden "es kommt immer noch post für dich an, obwohl du schon vor 2 jahren gestorben bist, sagen die hosen "obwohl doch jeder weiß, dass du weggezogen bist" .. eine wundervolle art, das negative hier so zu verpacken. aber btw: gibt´s die englische version davon echt?? |

i think it´s about an relationship whiches ending is near..the lines "once more I'll say goodbye to you things happen but we don't really know why" say so. the two of them do things that they both don´t want to, but they hurt each other with the things they make and they don´t know about it. or they donßt know what to do, how to handle, they don´t want to hurt each other the more but they do so - cause they lie.."once more you tell those lies to me" it´s some kind of self hating too, but most the pain they go through in this situation "torn apart at the seams and my dreams turn to tears".., about their (love in) the past. it must be about something like that because "Bullet for my valentine" is an emocore band and emocore usually is about love in the past, betrayel of friends, mourning and death and so on... however, great song... i´m sorry for my english, i´m an 13 years old pupil from germany ^^ |
