I was only just bought this album and im just throwing a guess at this as i listen to it...but it sounds like they are talking about the world's media and News blanking out all the important bad things in the world..? "Five fallible flags in hybersonic Are told to stay nearly out of reach" Western Countries' Airplanes not being sent in when they are needed in africa? (i thought africa coz of safari) etc.....Looking at it like that, it does seem to make sense....but i only just heard it for the first time so i wouldn't assume im right |

| Nah, i reacon its about one of those lame girls who just play hard to get...also, the lines "you misunderstand me, all i wanted was some evidence, that your really like me" suggests to me that she was unhappy that he wasnt makin a move or trying harder....so im guessing she does probs have some feelings for whoever the song is about, she is just too proud to show it....wkd song tho! P.s I really like th e"maybe" verse, ehehe, pretty cool lyrics :P | |

I think he is called Mr Brightside because he is expected to have an understanding and happy outlook on the situation. Im pretty sure that this girl he is so crazy about thinks he is cool about the situation but, infact, he just said that because he thought she wanted to hear it. I think that the whole "Im Mr Brightside" is sarcasm and he has just been forced into pretending that its all ok |
