yeah, about bob. its about the times when the activists were walking the streets, protesting against the war. the reference to the mountain- bob standing as saviour/comforter/the one who sees in a light that he wants us to see and follow too? The 3rd verse gives me a picture of bob writing lyrics to the feelings that are deeply affecting him, of what he sees in the news about the ongoing war, and he realises no more can be said when you see the images of the results and effects of war on the wider community of the countries being blasted away, especially the children of war. And the songs written were so full of his heart, and everybody else could feel it to. |

this song really touches me! and her voice so shrilling! im taking the point of the song being about what being incercerated can do to you. it also explores the fact that to the legal/justice system, you are not even seen as human, you have no feelings, no rights, no claim to life.
I can still remember first hearing this song a few years ago and every time time i listened to it i'd always be crying. i just couldnt help it, the way the song is delivered and the whole story of it. its all so sad but true |

well the story line of the song is obviously of a phone call... bob... and they are talking about the memories they made together. And all this breaking her heart because of the pain of love lost. she is having all of the emotions that she left behind her suddenly sweep into her heart again, and its so painful.

Im actually living/working at Yulara, the little tourist resort/town a few Ks out from Uluru. All of the Anangu that I have met through work so far have been absolutely lovable characters, and I'm so happy that they have still retained much of their culture. Being displaced in the cities and having no culture to connect to would be a major contribution to the reason of high crime rates among the indidgenous population. but instead of whining about it, why not get out there and help out, help all Australians.
And stop with the gross generalisations you numbsculls!!
