ok i thinks it's quite obvious this song can be interpreted in many different ways, but i believe that the song was written using abortion and a metaphor for his stomach pains, and that the inclusion of leonard cohen's name indicates the metaphor as he was a metaphoric writer. this works if ur trying to interpret the song as one whole...but alot of lines can be interpreted to mean many things almost unrelated to the rest of the song. i think we should just agree that maybe this song was meant to mean alot of different things. |

i didnt really notice the lyrics thing till just now....but ohwell..i'm glad i dont have to sit down trying to figure out wot it all means....and as for the new sound...it may take some time to grow on people but i dont think its tt bad...its already growing on me..and i agree with some 3517 about tt 'innocent thing' and 'they are descending' but its common for songs to have familar notes and stuff to others, theirs only so many...in my immortal the 'alone all along' reminded me of 'my heart will go on' so yer it happens |

i wasnt aware that it was about amy' sister and her at a young age but when i first heard it, it reminded me of something my little sister sed when our great grandma died...that she wanted to die so she could be with her, it also reminded me of the situation with steve irwins death and his little son bob who sed the same thing...its a common feeling that children have when they lose someone they love....it is a very very moving song |
