Okay, just about anyone can relate but that doesn't make the song beautiful.
The beauty lies within the metaphors and unhibited imagry. The nostalgic feeling of youth is what Summer Skin is all about. Don't be so one dimensional people, it is too easy to believe it is about a "summer romance." It might be but I believe Death Cab is more than that. Sad day when you realize your youth is gone... |

Obviously about the war and political views aside this is a good song. "We're gonna win this" is a great line I like to think is a guy is reassuring his love that their relationship is going to succeed despite the naysayers or their own personal doubt. |

A great line about how they knew how to put the work into the relationship, knowing it is not easy but work is necessary. Obviously she did not want to put the work in....what a bitch. |
