Correct lyrics: Sometimes I try to do things And it just doesn’t work out the way I want it to And I get real frustrated And like, I try hard to do it And I like take my time And it just doesn’t turn out the way I want it to And it’s like I concentrate on it real hard And it just doesn’t work out And everything I do and everything I try It never turns out It’s like I need time to figure these things out There’s always someone there going: “Hey, Mike, you know, we’ve been noticing you’ve been having a lot of problems lately, you know? You need to maybe get away, and like, maybe you should talk about it. You’ll feel a lot better” And I go: “No, it’s okay, you know? I’ll figure it out. Just leave me alone. I’ll figure it out, you know? I’m just working on it myself.” They go: “Well, you know, if you want to talk about it, I’ll be here, you know? And you’d probably feel a lot better if you talked about it. So why don’t you talk about it?” I go: “No! I don’t want to. I’m okay. I’ll figure it out myself.” And they just keep bugging me And they just keep bugging me And it builds up inside It’s gotten me institutionalized You’ll come out brainless with bloodshot eyes You won’t have any say They’ll brainwash you until you see there way I’m not crazy Institution You’re the one who’s crazy Institution You’re driving me crazy Institution They stuck me in an institution Said it was the only solution To give me the needed professional help To protect me from the enemy, myself I was in my room And I was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything And then again, I was thinking about nothing And then my mom came in And I didn’t even know she was there She called my name and I didn’t hear her And then she started screaming: “Mike, Mike!” And I go: “What, what’s the matter?” She goes: “What’s the matter with you?” I go: “There’s nothing wrong, Mom.” She goes: “Don’t tell me that. You’re on drugs.” I go: “No, Mom, I’m not on drugs. I’m okay. I’m just thinking, you know? Why don’t you get me a Pepsi? She goes: “No! You’re on drugs.” I go: “Mom, I’m okay. I’m just thinking.” She goes: “No! You’re not thinking. You’re on drugs. Normal people don’t act that way.” I go: “Mom, just get me a Pepsi please. All I want is a Pepsi” And she wouldn’t give it to me All I wanted was a Pepsi Just one Pepsi And she wouldn’t give it to me Just a Pepsi They give you a white shirt with long sleeves Tied around you're back, you're treated like thieves Drug you up because they're lazy It's too much work to help the crazy I’m not crazy Institution You’re the one who’s crazy Institution You’re driving me crazy Institution They stuck me in an institution Said it was the only solution To give me the needed professional help To protect me from the enemy, myself I was sitting in my room And my mom and my dad came in And they pulled up a chair And they sat down And they go: “Mike, we need to talk to you.” And I go: “Okay. What’s the matter? They go: “Me and your mom, we’ve noticed lately you’ve been having a lot of problems. And you’ve been going of ffor no reason. And we’re afraid you’re going to hurt somebody. And we’re afraid you’re going to hurt yourself. So we decided that it would be in your best interest if we put you somewhere where you could get the help that you need.” And I go: “Wait. What are you talking about? We decided? My best interest? How do you know what my best interest is? How can you say what my best interest is? What are you trying to say? I’m crazy? When I went to your schools, I went to your churches, I went to your institutional learning facilities? So how can you say I’m crazy? They say they're gonna fix my brain Alleviate my suffering and my pain But by the time they fix my head Mentally I'll be dead I’m not crazy Institution You’re the one who’s crazy Institution You’re driving me crazy Institution They stuck me in an institution Said it was the only solution To give me the needed professional help To protect me from the enemy, myself It doesn’t matter I’ll probably get hit by a car anyway |

Alright. This song is the most evil piece of shit i have ever seen. Seriously. Its about a man who is crazy. I don't like crazy people. They scare me. Once a crazy person broke into my house and raped my sisters. Then he made me rape them.... It still haunts me. After that he stole my car and shot me. Son of a bitch. Crazy people deserve to die. If it was up to me, i'd shoot em all. Why do we put them into instutitions in the first place? What the hell is the matter with us? Incenerate the fucking psychos!!! This Mike guy in the song thinks he's not crazy but he really is. Thats how they all are. They go, "Oh im fine. Worry about yourself, Im not crazy!" The next thing you know you find them outside one night fucking your goats. Sons of bitches!!!! The crazy man tries to kill his parents with a can of Pepsi. How insane can you get? At the end he wants to go out and kill run over people on the highway!!!! I say the people who wrote this song do everyone a favor, killl themselves like thier name says. |

| Eagles – Hotel California Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Ok you idiots who try to pick apart a song and overanalyze it too. I am going to tell you the true literal meaning of the song. On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair (Pretty self-explanatory.) Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air (If you look up colitas on the internet, you will find that it means flower petals, so apparently he can smell flowers on the road he is travelling.) Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light (On the pavement, driving in the evening, sometimes the sun reflects off of the pavement into your eyes.) My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim (He is getting tired.) I had to stop for the night (He must find a place to rest his weary body.) There she stood in the doorway; (The hotel keeper is inviting him into the wonderful hotel.) I heard the mission bell (He is opening one of the doors that have a bell on them to alert workers when a customer has arrived.) And I was thinking to myself, (He thinks to himself about something.) 'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell' (He thinks, "This place could be great, or it could be terrible." He hasn't seen enough of the hotel to know yet.) Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way (The hotel keeper lights a candle because the power is out, and show him to his room.) There were voices down the corridor, (There is a party in one of the rooms getting rowdy.) I thought I heard them say... (He thinks he hears them say something.) Welcome to the Hotel California (The people are singing the hotel's theme song.) Such a lovely place (More theme song) Such a lovely face (Repeated most likely because they are drunk.) Plenty of room at the Hotel California (There are many vacancies as noted by the sign out front.) Any time of year, you can find it here (It's there all year round, not like some of the crappy resort hotels.) Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes-Benz (The hotel keeper, is whacko, but she has a Benz and is pretty cool.) She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends (Her car attracts all of the pretty, pretty boys.) How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat. (They dance out back in the courtyard at a party, and sweat because it's one of those dog days of summer.) Some dance to remember, some dance to forget (The people want to dance to remember the party the night before, or to forget about it and focus on this one.) So I called up the Captain, (He calls up the captain of the ship U.S.S. Arizona because they are old friends.) 'Please bring me my wine' (He asks his old friend to bring some wine to the party because all of the alcohol had run out.) He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here (The captain tells him that they haven't had wine here.) Since nineteen sixty nine' (They haven't had it since 1969.) And still those voices are calling from far away, (He still hears the party going on, from even farther away this time, indicating that it is getting even more rowdy than the previous night.) Wake you up in the middle of the night (The party is so loud that it wakes him up in the middle of the night.) Just to hear them say... (He hears them saying something.) Welcome to the Hotel California (Singing the theme song again.) Such a lovely place (It really is a nice hotel.) Such a lovely face (They're so drunk that instead of saying "lovely place" they accidentally say "lovely face.") They livin' it up at the Hotel California (They're having a kick butt time partying at the hotel.) What a nice surprise, bring your alibis (It's such a nice surprising place, that you have to make excuses to come more often.) Mirrors on the ceiling, (There are mirrors on the ceiling so you can watch yourself having sex with people. (Trust me, they are awesome.)) The pink champagne on ice (The rooms come with special pink "love" champagne for couples.) And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device (The people are doing some sexual role playing involving someone pretending to be a prisoner. In this case it is the whacko hotel keeper. She's kinky like that.) And in the master's chambers, (After the sex, they all go to the master's chambers.) They gathered for the feast (They are there because there is a feast.) The stab it with their steely knives (They are stabbing something, but we don't quite know what it is yet. Maybe, it's a turkey, or...) But they just can't kill the beast (maybe it's a beast! And in this case it is. It seems that a dangerous lion or tiger has broken out of a local zoo and it jumps through the window. They can't kill it because they are using butter knives, and they aren't that effective against an angry big cat.) Last thing I remember, I was (Because he is so panicked, he blacks out, but remembers this last thing.) Running for the door (He is running away from the lion because it is chasing him.) I had to find the passage back (He has to find the exit to get away from the lion.) To the place I was before (The place he was before had a lion proof shield in case of emergencies just like this.) 'Relax,' said the night man, (The night man tells him to calm down because he is a professional lion tamer.) We are programmed to receive. (They are trained to handle lions.) You can checkout any time you like, (He is saying that if the lion scares bother you, then you can check out whenever.) but you can never leave! (But, if the lion kills you, you really can't, as you are dead.) Now, that wasn't too hard to figure out, was it idiots? |

Corrected lyrics. staying up all night and sleep all day we were smart kids with too much to say and so, so sure that they were missing out (they're the ones who were missing out) we were elemental talked down to bare essentials who knew we'd get so far? 'cause our days were numbered by nights on too many rooftops they said we’d burn so bright we’d burn this city and go play it again (our games of love and lust) and, there's no such thing (no, there's never too much) and we were so, so sure no, we never had a doubt we're counting down the days to getting out, and we were elemental talked down to bare essentials who knew we'd get so far? (who knew we’d get so far?) 'cause our days were numbered by nights on too many rooftops they said we're wasting our lives but, oh, at least we know that if we die we lived with passion they said we’d burn so bright we’d burn this city and go pack our bags and get away they're catching on to us (4x) 'cause our days were numbered by nights on too many rooftops they said we're wasting our lives but, oh, at least we know that if we die we lived with passion they said we’d burn so bright we’d burn this city and go our days were numbered by nights on too many rooftops they said we're wasting our lives but, oh, at least we know that if we die we lived with passion they said we'd burn so bright our days were numbered by nights on too many rooftops, they said we're wasting our lives but, oh, at least we know that if we die we lived with passion they said we’d burn so bright |
