| Circle Jerks – Dog Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Listening to the music, theres a reference about "Laika, the russian space dog", but i never find the complete (and correct) lyrics. | |
| Black Flag – Police Story Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| A great anti-cop song. But I think Police Truck is still the best in this style. Police Story gets a silver medal. | |
| Black Flag – No More Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| A regular man realize that his life sucks and he is controled by others. | |
| Black Flag – Rise Above Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"We are tired of your abuse Try to stop us is no use." Fuck. This is the soul of hardcore. Really... rise above is an anthem. Ginn guitar and Rollins voice are unique. |
| Reagan Youth – Degenerated Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Yeah, agree with Inside_voice, its about a teen zombie-sheep-junkie. Maybe Dave in his young years. One of RY best songs. Insurgent voices in his best: Degeneraaaaated, Degeneraaated... |
| Reagan Youth – U.S.A. Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is one anarchist song that really can fit good in any of Crass or Conflict album. Americans think they´re free just because they live in a democracy. And we n RY know thats just bullshit. We are all slaves. |
| Reagan Youth – New Aryans Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love the "NEw order? No order!" part! Dave´s voice really kicks ass, and they were very confrontative, with that album covers showing hitler and kkk. This song is pretty direct, final solution for new arians! Fuck those racists, Reagan Youth rules! They deserve more atention for the youth. A place in the history with Black Flag, Circle Jerks, DK and Minor Threat. |

| Rancid – Daly City Train Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Holy shit. 16 coments and nobody knows who is Jackyl? Youre useless... I think he is no fictional character, maybe someone known in the "scene"... Because, you know, he was an artist and a writer. |
| Rancid – Holiday Sunrise Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I cried when I had no shoes Till I met the man with no feet Fucking great quote. Living in the streets is tough. |
| Rancid – GGF Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Wonderful close song for an album. Golden Gate Fields is a horse track in San Francisco. Hollywood PArk is in LA, and Churchill Downs in England. The song is about the horse races that he use to go when he was a kid. Guess Big L is an old friend from that time. |
| Rancid – Cocktails Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Yeah, its about a junkie girl that lives in Manhattan. One of my favorites songs by Rancid. The harmonica combines very well with the melody. And Tim voice´s do the rest. But the lyrics are incomplete. |
| Rancid – Cheat (The Clash cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Its pretty close to the original. Rancid is a great Clash fan, so as I. In this song MAtt Freeman do a pretty good bass solo. | |
| Black Flag – My War Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Yeah, I agree. During the song you come to realize that the guy is getting crazier and crazier, even turning against his own friends. Great song. Old school hardcore is what I live for. Black Flag rules. |
| Black Flag – Fix Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Its about a guy who wants to be brainwashed. Its all about that old paradox. Only the dumbs are happy. |
| Black Flag – Revenge Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I got a live version of this one in which Rollins tells that the song is for the LAPD. So, its an anti cop song. That explains the gun in the back. | |
| Cock Sparrer – Where Are They Now Lyrics | 20 years ago |
OK... Who is Julie? And Tony? Joe, is Joe Strummer. Jimmy, is clearly Jimmy Pursey. The second part talks about Roxy and stuff... And Rotten is Johnny Rotten. But... who are those two up there? |
| Bad Religion – God Song Lyrics | 20 years ago |
And did those feet in ancient times tread on America's pasture of green? And did that anthropocentric god wane with the thoughts and beliefs all unseen? The inicial lyrics are a reference to a religious british poem, by William Blake: And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountains green? And was the holy Lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen? Thats a very clever reference by G Graffin that shows all his knowledge and capacity as a songwritter. Like blakes poem is a religious anthem, God Song should be an atheist. |
| Bad Religion – Delirium of Disorder Lyrics | 20 years ago |
A great atheist song. BR shows here that doesnt believe in destiny, faith, or anything that may put an order or a patch in our lives. "Chaos is the score upon which reality is written". Is a very good quote. Maybe someone with more knowledge oh the Chaos Theory may add something more. "I am just an atom in an ectoplasmic sea Without direction or a reason to exist." There´s no meaning of life, once theres no order. |
| NOFX – I Am A Huge Fan Of Bad Religion Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Absolutely right! Bad Religion rocks. So what if they sign with Atlantic back in 94? They return in Epitaph before "The Process od Belief". Funny song. |
| NOFX – Insulted By Germans (Again) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is funny. Cant believe nobody comented yet. Germans like to make friends insulting them. Seen that Fat Mike is not very confortable with that... My favorite parts: Scottish don't speak a language The Japanese like to chase me down the streets of Nagoya Swede bands copy our sound What more... Oh, in the Canadians, he doesnt sing about, he sing ABOOT ehehe very funny. Does anybody know with NOFX was deported in Russia? |
| NOFX – Whoops, I OD'd Lyrics | 20 years ago |
The last part "it's been real fun but now i must say goodbye, I'll see you all at Okie Dogs " is how Darby Crash, from the LA punk band The Germs, say good-bye at the end of their gigs. And like most of you know, Crash die from an overdose. A suicide OD to say the true. So, its a reference that Fat Mike made. |
