sounds like hes with this girl and he realizes that their relationship isnt what it used to be. then he says that they may not be in love anymore and that its hard keep your relationship going under that kind of a thing, hence the november rain line. he also says that theyve been trying to make it work for a long time and that they might as well move on.
he then says that theres always someone else and that its ok for them to move on and hes content with what
their relationship was.
the whole "do you need some time on your own" thing is asking if she needs to spend some time away from the pressures of the whole relationship.
after the solo, he then says that once everythings all done with, that maybe they could fall in love once again if they both try hard enough. he says that nothing lasts forever, even cold november rain, which means that eventually all their problems will go away and they can be happy together once again.

sounds like theres some ancient race and this guys seeing a vision that a new race, humanity, is going to bring and end to their race, and hes saying that in 10000 years some sort of antichrist will be born and bring an end to mankind so that these people can reclaim what they lost, so in the meantime the few survivors will blend in with man kind and "mar their history" |

Actually, the inspiration for the main riff of One came from Buried Alive by Venom, but this does remind me of it. They also have a similar concept of being cut off in one way or another. |

Normaly I don't like songs that are this soft, but this one just creates an atmosphere that matches the lyrics, which probably tell about how he had a relationship that failed and that now he'd give almost anything to get it back. |
