Ok kudos to Dennis Hopper. I mean I haven't looked it up but I can't see how that is dennis hopper.. dude is like 60 something and the guy on the song sounds like a guy in his twenties. He sounds so different I almost you think you guys are wrong. But someone would of called u on it by now. ANd yah duh... obviously the song is about america.. it SAYS it in the fricken song. So whoever said what the producer guy said is right. The basic idea of the song should have been fairly obvious. |

This is great song... parrells 311's "Reconsider Everything"(check out what I wrote about that song if you care) Sacrifice you got it right. I was SOOOO bummed when he split up the band. I heard it was cuz his exposure on MTV was everything he didn't want to be. So sad... most people who know there one hit wonder song think they are pop. Maybe a bit pop but SO much more. Amazing album. |

First off shokker yes those are the correct lyrics.. when i started reading the sites lyrics i was like.. ummmm ok?A Teacher once told me "You have to be a conspiracy theorist with a bullsh*t detector" I think that is what this song is all about. At first they are telling you to "reconsider everything" but my favourite line of the song is "Rebellion done for its own sake/does not a true free thinker make" In other words although it is good to go against the man... make sure you are doing it for a good reason and have cause. Don't go against the government cuz its cool or your friends are doing it or cuz you read something on the internet. Know why you are doing. I think the other great line in the song is "What if the truth is that there is no truth/The only thing I can prove is there is no proof" I agree with this completely. Some people act like they know everything and that there politcal ideals are 100% and don't even listen to your viewpoint. Although I hold my viewpoints strongly I am always open and change a few of my opinions now and then because you realize you were wrong or you didn't see the other side of the story. And know that you will never know the whole truth. So always keep an open mind |
