Excellent song! Mike McColgan or someone else did some homework, whoever wrote it. Having been in the Army for about 12 years, a lot of things sound like a Joe wrote the song. CONUS=continental US. Short-timer's attitude. Back to the world...all terms you hear in the army. The feeling when you get back from a deployment that your kids got older without you... The Dropkick Murphys had some thoughtful lyrics... this reminds me of the kind of "air raid warden will walk up and down" attention to detail. |

This song is to simulate the human condition, ethos, pathos, logos, in de facto film noir fashion with a capital F. Art deco references to introversion, defference, and ham sandwiches. I think you'll find more meaning on bag of gummy bears. Still, they beat pearl jam. (: |

Whatever! You are all so wrong! Well, ok. Just kidding. But it seems pretty experimental. She reads a music review that talks about BK being full of man-hate (true) while someone in the background reads the part about other peoples attitudes influencing yours (true). So does this music make you man-hate? Are they talking about you? And do you heart The Who too? |

It's a great example of how easy it is to be a heroine adict punk musician and criticize everyone, but not actually have to come up with a solution yourself. Military invlolvement in Somalia, at the U.N.'s urging, was to save millions of starving people. Good thing Rancid chimes in with thier valuable foriegn policy advice. Fuckheads. |
