I think that the song is more so about how we all try so hard in life to reach a goal, only to not be satisfied with it when we get it, hence the lines "Now at last I fall before The Fountain of Lamneth. I thought I would be singing, but I'm tired, out of breath." and "I'm forever at the start" |

This is a great song, it really sets a tone for the rest of the album. And if my thinking is right here, I would say that the whole album is in the view point of some guy and about what some girl has done to him. How does that sound? |

Yeah, it just dawned on me after a discussion on communism in one of my classes that this song is exactly about communism. Throught the song refernces are made on how everything in everybodies lives are controled by a few people, which is pretty much how communsim works. |
