I think it's about loving someone to death - literally. He can't stand how much he loves someone, therefore kills 'm? He doesn't want to hurt her ("using the nice lace"), he doesn't want to realise who he's killing ("trying to erase your face".) hm, nice one SkysFallen! Overanalyzing is a good thing, in my opinion. Yeah, it's quite possible, he also starts with 'God' obviously. It could also be about some other authority figure, like the government officials looking down on you, or just someone who hasn't known rough times and can't understand the way you feel. This wouldn't necessarily (sp?) have to be God. |

I've seen these guys live twice, and I saw a huge scar on the arm of Jeffrey (vocalist). Possible that he tried to commit suicide? This sounds like it could be about that: how he feels bad over everything he cannot be, then there 'slashed-up wrists' bit, then eventually overcoming this all and overwinning the urges to commit suicide? actually. there's plenty of Christan Rock n Metal bands, and they're pretty cool, too. Bad argument thusfar. I think this song is about growing up, indeed, and maybe about doing stuff you don't want to, without it really having to be about the Devil. |
