why does everyone think this song is about a relationship, its about being addicted to a drug. "Throw your dollar bills and leave your thrills all here with me" "Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail" (ever been addicted to a painkiller?) "Clip the wings that get you high, just leave them where they lie And tell yourself, 'You'll be the death of me" "So come sit by the fire and play a while, but you can't stay too long" again makes sense if you understand what it means, ever been addicted? I can go on, its all there, perhaps others see something else it the song. but i truely belive its about being addicted to a drug. |
