The Good, the Bad and the Queen – History Song Lyrics 19 years ago
Unbelievable, I'm the first. What's up with you people? Such a wonderful song. Comment!
It has a lot of melancholy in it (damn, they even mention it!), just like the whole album, but there is some ray of hope evident from the very first lines ("come the day/you see the sun"). Looking back at the title one could think it asks to accept all the hardships as natural - it's been like that throughout the history of mankind, various wars (storm may be a metaphor for war), and they will always be from time to time. We must be those "hangers-on", strong and doing whatever we can to survive, waiting for it to end, because everything ends, one day.

Roxette – Vulnerable Lyrics 19 years ago
This song always reminds me of childhood, since that's when Roxette were my idols and this song was one of my favorites. Gosh how awesome this song is. Per's vocals, the whole atmosphere and the whistling. Sometimes all I need is a light easy-going tune and this is where nothing beats Roxette.

voice of baloo, I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstand you, but your last comment seems kinda dubious :) at first you're saying SA is brilliant, then in the end you're calling it pish... what a hell man, make up your mind.

Personally I don't see RHCP as sellouts. Damn, times change, and it would be pretty boring to see the Peppers spawn the same ol' funkish albums without experimenting, throwing out something different. That's what they actually did throughout their career, they always changed and tried different styles until they formed into what they are now, having unique style of their own. I agree with Avatar-rock, this wild crazing with socks on their dicks is long gone, they're grown-ups and if you don't like them more mature, go on and listen to their old albums. Selling out? What a tired phrase. Maybe sometimes I'm too tolerant to different bands but I'm just not really into dissing. Music is there to listen to and enjoy, not to label people sellouts. They are one of the few bands that have been out for more than two decades, they enjoy making music together. SA is like summary of their career, it's different from BTW and has some harder stuff, some mellow stuff as well as the funky stuff. I think this album actually defines RHCP and I agree with Flea's words 100%. You don't like the Peppers if you don't like this album. I don't know, everyone's got an opinion, but selling out... Music business today is full of mindless crap, no question, but these folks aren't the ones producing it.

Eels – Losing Streak Lyrics 20 years ago
why no comments? this one is a nice optimistic track, rare thing to have eels sing in a happy mood about happy things :)
about a meaning, I think it's pretty simple. after all those losses, E finally feels that the series of bad events is over and a new stage of life is about to begin.
