this song is only about one thing, and its a theme that jack always talks about. jack always talks about working with older technology rather than newer technology when you're recording, because the more opportunity and tools you have in the studio destroys the potential for creativity. jack always says he'd rather take the hard way to do things, such as recording an album, because there is no satisfaction or joy in taking the easy way when it comes to recording songs in multimillion dollar recording studios. the little room is probably the recording studio in his attic or living room that he recorded some of his albums in, and the bigger room is the larger and more expensive studios that are available to some of the bigger rock stars. Jack is essentially saying that there is more opportunity when you have more restrictions and less tools at your disposal.. think about it, when there is no envelope to push, then where are you breaking any ground right? there is nothing sexual about this song, this song is only about setting restrictions on yourself when you're being creative. |
