Dropkick Murphys – Echoes on A. Street Lyrics | 13 years ago |
i also thought that it was about a dog when i heard it the first time, however, this line suggests that he is talking about his wife "She took your problems and took your name" |
Flogging Molly – Us of Lesser Gods Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think he is describing being an non-believer due to all the shit that's going on where even hell would be a better place, meanwhile, this fictional god sits in heaven and does nothing to make the world better |
Flogging Molly – Death Valley Queen Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"When I returned downtrodden and burned There were Billy Goats grazing Where once you'd be found" great song but I'm not sure what this line means, did he kill her or is it a reference for her as a rose? |
Flogging Molly – Drunken Lullabies Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Dave said something along the lines of "when Flogging Molly is on its game.. I'm sorry but there's not too many things that can touch that" and I couldnt've said it better myself, this song is simply in a completely different league that nearly everything else I've ever heard. |
Flogging Molly – Whistles The Wind Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This song seems to have a different meaning to me each time i listen to it, never fails to get to me though, this is more than music |
Rammstein – Sonne (English) Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Overseer – Meteorolgy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It never rains but it pours Are we just settling scores? Too many closing doors It never rains but it pours (repeat) You're always looking for more Not just the luck of the draw I'm never totally sure You're always wanting more Det regnar aldrig men det öser ner (repeat) |
Zebrahead – Anthem Lyrics | 17 years ago |
bold comment coming from someone with a band that sounds like shit, guess we'll just take that as a complimenta bttw is utter crap though .. compared to their previous albums that is... still good |
Alkaline Trio – Radio Lyrics | 17 years ago |

SR-71 – Alive Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i love the first part of this song, and the "Feels the power of the engine as she climbs to 65 Every piston sounds like freedom, every white line says goodbye" is especially cool not a fan of the rest of the song sadly |
Caesars – It's Not the Fall That Hurts Lyrics | 17 years ago |
agree to what annaS said, how ppl can do stupid things without thinking about the consequenses before they actually face them, but by then it's already too late to do anything about it |
Kent – Mannen i den vita hatten (16 år senare) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
greeeat i missed a part; I en tid då inget hände I en stad som alltid sov Men älskling vi var alla en gång små Ja, vi var alla en gång små Ja, vi var alla en gång små should be something like in the days when nothing happened in a town always asleep but honey once we were all young yes, once we were all young yes, once we were all young |
Kent – Mannen i den vita hatten (16 år senare) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
was bored so i quickly translated the lyrics, it's not 100% correct but i guess it'll give you a hint a benchrow in a restless late april i glance over my shoulder to see you blink i can have you whenever you want a wind is blowing litter along the corridor one final time you and i are holding our breaths and holding hands in our leap it's not very far home still there's thousands of tears left they were yours to give whomever finally they're your most precious jewelry so never say you're sorry again finally we cross their limitations/borders can you remember our blood oath, our law our stupid crusade towards an equally stupid town i remember it all, as nails to glass but you're just laughing at me. decreasing everything to but a joke but i can tell by your insecure posture, your worried gaze, that you can feel that it's a long way home and soon there's no tears left they were ours to give whomever finally they're our most precious jewelry so never say you're sorry again finally you're setting your own limitations/borders the boy i never knew that was walking all the paths i never saw and was thinking about thoughts i never thought underneath a thin ? hair and all the feeleings beating and blowing the everyday life full of holes i'm throwing stones in a glass house i'm playing darts in my incubator and as so i'm growing my fears yea, i'm constantly planting new seeds and in my greenhouse i'm secure there my envy grows green and vivid i'm terrified to live i'm terrified to die (lost in translation) but honey we're all gonna die eventually yes we're all gonna die eventually yes we're all gonna die eventually we're all gonna die eventually we're all gonna die eventually we're all gonna die eventually |
Alkaline Trio – Bleed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
a really good song... except for one thing "Crashing inside you, like motorbikes", it sounds retarded. someone explain |
Zebrahead – Lightning Rod Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"Tell me why we always sweat it Everybody wants more but they never get it" "Rejection of gratitude" "What you want is never what you get Here comes the wall, better lower your head" this is obviously about that ppl are never happy with what they've got, being greedy they always want more "So you say you like the way I move Into every storm I see above me" dunno about this part though, sounds as if he's being mocked when trying out a different approach to life |
Zebrahead – Expectations Lyrics | 17 years ago |
sounds like a relationship where the girl has very high expectations on her man, he , on the other hand values her over anything else and therefore does everything to live up to what she wants "I drove really fast before I hit the wall I was punch drunk, spinnin' round, heading for a fall Do or die now, got scared, so I stalled" everything were running smoothly until he realized what his life was becoming and finally understood that it couldnt go on like before "Your eyes inside the back of my mind Stars collide to see who outshines Your eyes inside the back of my mind It's making me blind We can hold it up, then set it on fire Life is sacrifice and you can be a martyr But it's more than I can stand When you're looking down on me Cause I can't live up to you, that makes me incomplete"" he's very casious of their fragile relationship, so he wants to be the perfect man, live up to and exceed her expectations, something that demands all his attention and makes him forget more important matters "I never wanted anything more So I'll just say good-bye and watch you walk out the door" even when he realizes he's loosing her, he cant do anything that might make matters worse.... "Would you leave me here when nobody cares? I tried really hard not to care at all Medicate myself Xanax, alcohol My admissions made me feel so small You can keep it all" he starts to realize he didnt do anything wrong and everything was her fault "We can change for each other We can let go and accept one another We can tear it down to the ground and start over Life is compromise [x2] So if I let you down then I'll pick you up again In the end Suspend confidence in me to come through To be who I want to be and to do what I want to do Never turn my back on you" finally the chick realizes maybe she didnt accept him for who he was and therefore their relationship immediatly starts getting better, they start from the top and then lived happy everafter =D now i hope you learnt something new from my long ass post, kids |

Zebrahead – Chrome Lyrics | 17 years ago |
here's the complete lyrics Chrome revolution Microphone pollution Satellite days with a textbook solution Get back, slide off the track Like a lyric in a haystack Drunk off of crack Got my feet high Never figured out where the dogs lie Didn't mean to pry But the door was open Lucy in the sky With her red hair tokin' Do what you like Nothing lasts for ever So get on it before you think twice So you think your clever But everything worth while has got a price Money proof armor Makes my mind calmer Honey fully stacked in the back of the bomber Comin' out playin' on the backboard Say Like a deadweight scratch in the middle of the day Its a recline, not another decline It's the days and the nights in the back of your mind With a head change, everything is strange But I'd rather be a smokestack out on the range Do what you like [Repeat Chorus] |
The Living End – Tabloid Magazine Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Zebrahead – I Hate Christmas Lyrics | 18 years ago |
come on, as you never wants to have an "alcohol-a-day by the pool in the sun" sometimes when the snow lies thick outside your door :P |
Dishwalla – Counting Blue Cars Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"While this sounds like a very deep song, it's really only about the guy going for a walk with his kid; playing and having a shallow chat about big questions. Kinda touching actually. " agree to this, though i think the song is about how kids don't have "stained" views on things, how they are very down-to-earth and dont have preconceived notions i think that's why he refers to god as "she", and "i'm on my way to meet her" the person that met the little kid starts to walk along with the kid, realizing the kid is "right" and admiring his views on life. they play different sorts of games just as the person did when he was young |
30 Seconds to Mars – From Yesterday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
hmm, tired when i wrote that, well, have some indulgence with my spelling and grammar :/ |
30 Seconds to Mars – From Yesterday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
just heard this song, really good! however here's what i think this song is about, might be way off but here goes... i founded my interpretation that it's about a soldier as you've already said, sounds right to me. "On his face is a map of the world" i think this means that you can tell by his face (scars, aging etc) some of the experiences he's been through (fighting, travelling....) "He’s a stranger to some And a vision to none He can never get enough, Get enough of the one" no one knows who he is and nobody gives a shit, "the one" might be a war or something. i think pretty much the whole chorus is how war might be frightening but that's what he grew up to and it's the only thing he knows how to do. "On a mountain he sits, its not of gold but of shit" he doesnt get any credit for what he's done, he just does what his superiors tell him to do, and people keep bitching at him for doing it (killing ?) "through the blood he can learn, see the lives that he took" assuming the whole "fighting is the only thing he knows how to do" is correct, this might be him reflecting and wondering about the lives, families etc of the people he killed, how everyday people with normal lives get dragged into wars against their will and being killed From a council of one He'll decide when he's done with the innocent He ultimately decides what to do, when he's had enough of listening to his superiors and killing people that doesn't deserve it that's it, might be way off but now don't be too harsh on me now =) |
Zebrahead – Let It Ride Lyrics | 18 years ago |
one of zh's best songs. i like to play this song when i've had a shitty day. "let it ride, let it go" "tomorrow brings another day, another chance some other way" pretty much think that's what this song is about, dont care if something doesnt work out as you planned "today", give it some time and try again and it eventually will. |
